What? Kazee is like 150lbs soaking wet and you want him to play Strong Safety in the middle stopping the run???

No reason to believe Edmunds will do any better in the open market with maybe the exact same stats as last season and 1 year older: He did have 2 Ints in 2021 and none this year, so I guess his actual stats are getting worse.

My guess says Edmunds returns for another year simply because he is a starter here and anywhere else, he goes he is going to have to compete for the starting job.

He is small but he can hit and makes plays. If they sign Edmonds to another crumbs deal fine. Both ILBers should be replaced but mostly the Fashion Plate Bust Devin Bush.

Defensive Line, Corners, Inside Linebackers and a capable above the line OLBer to spell and step in when needed and not just be a body out there.

Yep, I sadly remember those times as well and just think if we actually had gone out and got a blue-chip QB with some of the defenses we had. Magnum PI, Bubby, Kordell, Neil. Aiyah, Neil got us to the promised land but he was more Dilfer like than Aikman like. Worst day every flying home from that Super Bowl the next day. We dominated every statistical category except the score. Sucked A$$!!

See this gets Me. Teams lose to bad Qbs in the playoffs time to time. So just off of this....Now don't go moving the goal post.....,but Brady,and Belichick lost to Sanchez Mister butt fumble in the playoffs, and We beat them in the playoffs that same year. That's just off the top of My head if I went ,and looked.....I bet I could find many more. I get the dislike, but I really don't get that comparison.

 

Unless you know of someone else on this team that is better? Let him look around and sign him to another 1 year $2.5 million contract.

If we are going DB early in the draft, I hope it will not be a safety to replace Edmunds.

I know the retort is everyone is freaking out over 1 bad year! When in reality we have won 3 playoff games in 12 years and counting. You are bound to win regular season games when you have a first ballot HOF QB on the roster for 15 plus years. The play we are getting this season from KP and Trubinsky is what many teams we were beating over the years got. Very hard to be competitive when the QB play is below the line.

 

No...., but just the fact that He the best We have at the position(actual We don't know if He is) , and Nobody else wants Him isn't justification for Him to be brought back.

 

Well you may want to wait until Pickett has more playing time before you say we don't have a decent QB.

 

I'm not a fan but I would like to see the Lions win a SB one day as long as we are not the team on the other side of ball. Since 1991, how the hell is that possible.

That defense they had was fierce.
I remember thinking that if they kept that intact and added Kirk Cousins, they would be pretty tough to beat. But Jacksonville being Jacksonville, screwed the pooch.

 

Yet we had a supposedly hof QB for last 5-8 years and
He couldn't carry us to playoff wins., A QB paid over 220 million for his career
Couldn't carry us to nothing.

 

That thought keeps crossing my mind
