The first trailer is officially here for those of you who may at least occasionally indulge. Somehow, R* managed to make a game that out-Floridas Florida! :lolol: Well, more accurately, gives us an amplified and exaggerated Florida.

There's no nudity and I don't believe I heard any profanity in the trailer. Just the same, it's heavily adult themed, so you've been warned if that kind of thing bothers you.

It looks amazing visually, and considering that it won't be out for at least another 18 months, it will get polished even more before it comes out.

Resident Evil 8 is "The Village." But it was designed to be similar to Resident Evil 4 (more action, less horror).

Resident Evil 4 remake was released a couple of months ago, and I haven't played the original since I had a PS2. But this Friday, they are releasing the VR mode for free if you own the remake. So I'm pretty excited to play one of my favorite RE games in VR.

That was Resident Evil 4. A couple of years ago, they released Resident Evil 8: The Village, which is a new setting and story with different characters (from RE7), but gameplay wise is kind of a throwback to 4. So far RE7, RE8, and now RE4 Remake are all playable in VR, and it's so much more intense that way.

Well then 4 is My all time favorite, but I actually haven't played since the 6th one. I beat 4 every way imaginable. I would love to play it again.

I don't know if you have a VR headset, but that is the way to go now.

No. I haven't played any video games in about 3 years....sometime in January will make it exactly 3 years.

Provided you have good eyes. One bad eye? It's hard to focus. I have an eye with a severe astigmatism and scar tissue on my cornea. They can't even correct it close to 20/20. With normal vision, it's fine. My right eye compensates. But when VR divides the image to each separate eye, my left is weak and so the overall image isn't focused.

I still enjoy playing some games like Beat Sabre or games that don't have a ton going on visually. But other games, I wish I could play a TV version (like the VR Assassins Creed. Looks like fun, but for me, it would look like an 80s console TV with a fuzzy picture tube at best)

You remember Atari Pong? That is how long it's been for me. I realized I was not a gamer when as soon as the speed increased I lasted 30 seconds.

We had a pong machine when I was very young, before the 2600 was out.

Complete mystery. The scar tissue was found when I was young. Possible injury as a baby/toddler? Something got in my eye? Scratch? We never knew.

The severe astigmatism is only partially related. It's possible the scar tissue prevented my eye from shaping correctly. But the eye doctors all think it's something that would have happened anyway. Without the scar tissue, they might be able to correct it closer to 20/20. But even then, to get it to 20/20, the lens would be so strong that it could start causing a fishbowl effect. I've adapted. I see fine. Just can't see that well from my left eye. It really only affects VR and partially affects depth perception. I'm left handed, but right eye dominant (maybe the dominance happened after the injury. Who knows?) So that's a good thing. It never affected my ability to shoot. I just shoot right handed.

Thank You for answering, and I was just going to ask about the ability to shoot, but now I don't have to.
