This is actually true. At first when I read the article I was like is this guy crazy?? Manning vs. our secondary? Brady vs. our secondary. But, Ben vs. their secondaries could be good too.

I'm not buying the hype, not with the Steelers secondary remember what Brady did to them last without any great WRs. Manning and Brady would destroy the Steelers defense a weak pass rush and a bad secondary doesn't give me hope. Their only hope would be to get into a shootout.

That was the main point of the article, we have the offense to hurt those two teams and hang with them in a shot out, neither one of them has the Seahawks defense.

My ideal scenario is for us to win the division and 3rd seed, and Baltimore to win the 5th seed. Baltimore wins in Indy, we beat the #6 seed. Baltimore goes to New England where they will not be intimidated and knocks off the Pats. We go to Denver on a wet, windy day and take advantage of the impact of the elements on Peyton's passing. We host the Ravens in the AFCCG. A guy can dream, right?

Our offense can go toe to toe with anyone in the league as long as we don't beat ourselves with turnovers. The issue is our defense has given up big play after big play. That really concerns me if we face off vs. Denver. No matter if we play NE or Denver or both we need to score TD's in the red zone and not settle for FG's...

Let's just win the next two games and then let the chips fall where they may...

Those teams exposed our biggest weakness, pass protection! The line has gotten better but the tackles are shaky and Ramone Foster misses at least 3 to blocks a game and when he misses he does so very badly. What all those teams did was run blitzing and what happens is when they get to a pass play they don't have to send everyone, they defend the hot reads and force Ben to hold it waiting for a receiver which will make him have to get out of the pocket and the play is then blown up which doesn't fair well if there isn't an escape route. We had a tough time with the Jags as they got penetration and pressured with just the front 4, I read the average time Ben had in that game was 2.7 seconds, you can't have offensive power if you can't protect. Take the games in which the offense wasn't great and you'll notice one common thread, the QB was fighting off sacks just about every drop back.

I agree about Foster. Good grief he ticks me off quite a bit.

Yes but the flip side is they had jail bird Hernandez, who was their number 2, but better than most teams number one.

With what pass rush exactly??? If we don't hit the QB, this D cannot stop them.

I agree with this to an extent but this team is proving to be a lot better than last years version. If we don't turn the ball over early and go down 21-0 like we did last year, I like our chances. The two times a Big Ben lead steelers team beat the pats we played mistake free football.

Here is the thing the defense is starting to apply pressure and it is working like it did for so many years, they may not be racking up the sacks but they are causing the quick dump off and getting to the receiver. Look at that latter half of the Atlanta game, they were forcing the Falcons to chew up the clock on short passes and yes while they did give up some 15-20 yard completions they were forcing short hurried throws as well. I think if DL takes the chains off them like he did for a couple of games you are going to see sack, pressure and turnovers, can't go back to the plain jane outside linebacker blitz though, that is too predictable.

Let Worilds drill Brady or Manning like he did Matt Ryan just one time, and see how much the game changes! Both of them completely choke once they feel the heat!

Ain't that the truth. Hit the statues and it changes everything. Problem is will LeBeau be paranoid and keep Wourlds in coverage like it seems he has been all season. 9 mill pass rusher

Not a pom pom type, let's see them take care of business on Sunday first. Then take the division from the Bungles. The KC game will not be a cake walk. They are still in the hunt.
