Let's give credit where it is due and I think that Todd did a great job on mixing up the play calling. Shame Wallace was off last night but Dwyer came through big time. Sure TD if Batch was on his game.

I think if Haley stays, Ben will play for another 6 or 7 years..am I wrong in thinking this way?

The checkdowns to running backs helps alot

According to ESPN, Ben hates Haley ....Not sure why....Ben taking sacks has gone WAY down. I guess he doesnt like the dink and dunking, but its working and it KILLS our defense when opposing offenses do it.

I think that Ben's comment about the Steelers offense being "dink and dunk" is being blown out of proportion. They were talking about it on ESPN this morning and said even though it has a negative connotation, it shouldn't be because an overwhelming majority of top QBs in the league are completing passes of ~10 yards because the less time the ball is in the air, the less chance of problems.

Looking at the stats on nfl.com, Ben is tied for 10th with 22 completions of 20+ yards and E. Manning is 1st with 29. I guess there is a whole lot of dinking and dunking going on.

Ben has his best numbers ever. I'm not sure why he would hate what this offense is doing. If we can stop throwing points away when getting close to the redzone, we will be even better. While our average scoring isn't really up from last year, our consistency is.

Last year we had 8 games where we scored 20 points or under. 4 losses, but also 4 wins.

This year so far we have 2 games our of 6...1 loss and 1 win. Denver on the road and Philly win at home.

I think the thing which sticks out to me is just how different those games look to me. At Denver, we scored 19 points and lost, but we also missed out on some other points in that game. Our offense did have glimpses of success and that was our first game. The Eagles game we did look out of sync for the most part, but I think a lot of that was that Ben was just bad that game.

    Look at last year though.

    @ Baltimore - never competitive
@ Houston - offense never found any success
Jacksonville - A team with only 5 wins last year...we struggle to score, at home
Baltimore - Better than game 1, but weren't able to get 1 first down to preserve the win
@ Kansas City - that team was poor and had the worst starting QB in the league
Cleveland - lots of yards not scoring
@ San Francisco - Did the offense eve play that game. I know Ben was hurting, but how do you throw for 330 yards and only score 3 points?
@ Cleveland - for a team which won 4 games last year, we somehow managed to score only 27 points in 2 games. Ben throws for 500 yards, but didn't put up any points.
