Good News-Dead Bumblebees

I read an article earlier that our "bumblebee" uniforms will be no more after the 2016 season is over.

Nice.

That was the case with the last throwbacks too. 5 years.

I love the bumblebee jerseys. I will still rock my big Ben one

 

What was our record wearing the bumble bees? I seem to think we were undefeated or darn close. After the first time wearing them, it became easier to watch.

 

Not a huge fan of them, but I agree that we were pretty successful while wearing them.

 

I didn't mind them. Don't really have an opinion either way on their look (since I think you just get used to em after a while). I just didn't like making the annual trek to Heinz, walking through the gates, and seeing them warming up in those things. I think it kind of takes away from the experience for some long-time fans who don't get the chance to see many games and make the pilgrimage only to see the Steelers in some weird, alternate uniform.

It'd be like going to Yankee Stadium for the first time and finding the Yanks are playing, that day, in dark blue Spring training jerseys and left the pinstripes in the locker room. I think it'd lose a little luster for the fan.

I have a feeling our color rush uni's just might be pretty bad ass and they might serve as our alternate jerseys for a few years to come.

I only have 3 Steelers jerseys: Rod Woodson authentic from '90, Troy Polamalu SBXL replica from '06 and Antonio Brown bumble bee jersey.
