    That’s nuts. So $40 million is the new normal for a mediocre, middle of the pack QB?

    In 2022 the highest paid QB for cap space was Ryan Tannehill. I consider Tannehill to be a middle of the pack QB.

    You can’t compete at the business end of the season while paying a middling QB that kind of money. The Giants will regret that contract.

    Will the Steelers be paying Pickett that in four years? Daniel Jones and Kenny Pickett may be similar QBs. What is the difference between Prescott and Daniel Jones? Isn't Prescott basically making the same money?

    Yea. It appears that Pickett just being average will cost the Steelers probably $50m just because of the rate constantly rising. If he blows up, who knows how much he'll cost the Steelers. The market that Burrow and Trevor Lawrence sets will be interesting in the coming years that could dictate the high end of things.

    I read somewhere that Burrow is wanting to sign a new contract this year. 2 years early without the 5th year option. He does not want to play the 4th year under his rookie contract.

    The Bengals will sign Burrow this season to a relatively team friendly deal without completely breaking the bank which will still be 40-45 million a season.

    Unfortunately that's not the case with most other teams when it comes to signing the outrageous QB contracts. Middle of the road QB's are currently getting that now. Be prepared to pay upwards of $400 for a middle of the road ticket to these games in the not too distant future.

    A formula for how much a ticket could cost. QBs Cap Cost X 10 = 1 Ticket. :)

    Cleveland game = $549.93
    KC Game = $492.93
    Dallas = $491.30
    Buffalo = $397.72
    Tennessee = $366.00

    Kenny Still under Rookie contract so the cost should be $31.97 unless Mitch starts then it is $106.25

    I would put Prescott slightly higher than D. Jones, but not by much.

    Looks like they can get out of this relatively painlessly after two years. I’m still not sure that it’s a good idea. He is decent in the right system but not a real difference maker by any stretch of the imagination.
