Everyday leading up to this Superbowl gets more frustrating to me. Thought that time would ease the loss to the Patriots as it usually does but I wake up once again, think about and roll my eyes at how badly we played against the Pats and now they're the same a**holes that will represent the AFC in the Championship game again.

I look back at that loss and try to pinpoint exactly went wrong but there is too long of a list starting with coaching. It makes me wonder why Tomlin is always owned by certain coaches. Belicheck #1 and Hairball a close 2nd. Will we ever get over that hump with the Patriots? This year I really thought so and was the best opportunity but if it didn't happen by now, I guess it never will. We are now 2-12 against them. Beyond pathetic. We are their "little brothers" and whipping boys until this coaching staff becomes more creative, which they don't seem to understand. I'd like to think that the Rooney's really laid into Tomlin and the terrible game plan but I believe that the excuse was that the Pats are just a superior team and probably won't be stopped.

A few people say they are not gonna watch the Superbowl but if they hear a whisper about a close game and the chance for the Falcons to pull it off, you can bet they will tune in at the end.

Little brothers grow into behemoths. Time, my Steelers brethren, time.... If you feel that way, imagine what the coaches feel and multiply that by 100. Do you think they just calmly put their whistles in the locker and said, "Well we had a run didn't we?". I would buy stock in Tums right now. Tomlin, Butler and Haley are contemplating a climb on Everest just to pre-occupy their minds. They are running every scenario through their heads right now and everything else is just noise.

I'll go back to Conan since I'm in a fighting mood as well. "That which does not kill us...."

    (yes I know its Nietzsche......)

Well the only hope I can give you is Brady can't play forever and Bill won't Coach forever ..Other than that they will probably win more games in the regular season than we do they will probably get home field as normal and they will probably light up our poor secondary as normal...

Smh, this is the same defeatist attitude that the team went into this game with. The coaches, Ben, and even some fans had this attitude going into that game.

At least I don't have to spend the next 24+ hours stressed. Pissed is easier on the heart.

The only thing Keith Butler is contemplating is how to pry his head out of a pot of honey. When he figures it out sometime around early/mid April, I am hoping he will watch some film on prospects that can rush the passer, and maybe some corner prospects that have the ability to play man

It is not a attitude..It's simple ..We need better DB'S....Blame KC for not making the move to get Peters or any of the other great CB'S the past 5 years ..Brady has proved he will kill our zone and yet we keep drafting zone specific CB'S ..

I used to be like that but at 48, each day is too precious to keep the negative energy. We lose. I vent then on with life.

It would have been nice if they'd run a few scenarios through their minds before they played the Patriots! The Pats were in championship mode and the Steelers were in pre-season mode!

Yeah I really don't get all that bent out of shape as much as I used to. I will say though that if we had blown that Cincy game last year I would have probably have never gotten over that loss just because I hate the bungles so badly. It really just depends on the context for me when it comes to how hard I take a loss. I can for sure say that the SB loss to the cowgirls bothers me MUCH more than the loss to the Packers. I still think a lot about that cowgirls loss to this day and hardly ever think about that Packers loss. It's just that I can't stand the cowgirls so bad that I despise even the thought of losing to them. I feel like when we lost to the pats this year that we just flat out lost to a better team and those kinds of losses don't bother me as much. They've got better coaches. They have a better defense. They have the best qb ever. Nothing to hang your head about in losing to them. Although I would have liked to have seen more fire out of our team than they showed but that's on them and not me.

Am 60+ myself and have watched our Steelers in good times and bad...there were years in the seventies when I never missed a play, be it preseason, regular season, or postseason. I used to lose a lotta sleep at night after a loss, wondering what if we had done this or that. A loss stayed with me for such a long time...A good example of that would be 1972, Miami's perfect season. The week after The Immaculate Reception, we lost our playoff game to the Dolphins partly because of a fake punt by Larry Seiple, who ran for a first down to sustain a drive. I will never forget that. These days I still agonize over a loss, especially when I feel that we have the superior team, but I have seen so many ups and downs over the years that nothing, and I mean nothing surprises me anymore. The Steelers have given me so many thrills over the years and we have won far more than our share, believe me!!! I don't consider myself any less fervent a fan, not in the least, but for me, as life matters began to become most important to me, agonizing over every play became less important to me. The Steelers always have been, and always will be my team, but when I think about it in the great scheme of life, for me, it's just a game. Life goes on.

Until a team in their division takes the division title away from them they will continue to be a playoff favorite, and yet the bills, jets, and dolphins continues to be their patsies year in and year out, always changing coaches always having bad play on the field when they play them never challenging them for the division title, this new season wont be any different they own that weak division.......

I feel you on the loss, but I've just said to myself it's time to move on. Although your right about us being their little brothers. When we've won our SB's, since Brady has been a Patriot, we haven't had to play them in the playoffs. I didn't like that we wouldn't change to a man scheme on defense. To say the Patriots are that much better of a team because of how badly they beat us is not a correct assessment.

Everytime I see Legarrette Blount I get so infuriated.

That dude doesn't deserve any rings the way he screwed over our team.
