Wow Spencer didn't take a play off after that vicious facemask. I would have thought a visit to the tent was called for there.

That’s why I don’t feel comfortable with Dobbs as the #2.

There's no way the playcall was to scramble to the left and throw it down the field.

That ball probably should have been caught. It wasn't a perfect throw, but he could have bailed Dobbs out.

Everything you want out of a preseason game. Fast-moving. Defense swarming. Relatively boring second half. No major injuries. And a win to boot. I'm calling it now.....

23-0!!!!!! The dream is...… STILL alive.....

What Chris neglected to cover in his QB review is that with Dobbs in there they won't change the game plan to fit him and basically force him to play like the other two.

That's why the other guy has the upper hand. The Steelers makes the choice based on their system. Dobbs doesn't have anything to hang his head about, he does what he can in a system that does not play to his strengths.

    It's all good.

Nice sack by Spillane.... although truth be told, I'm REALLY surprised they didn't retire Sean McHugh's number.....

That's not true. I watched him in college. Don't start making stuff up to fit your narrative. Let it go.

Blaming Dobbs for tipped balls now. Classic.

His interception in the Raiders game bounced off AB's chest. His fault on that one too I guess.

The whole play was off. Was the design really to scramble to his left?

And I'm not so sure that it wasn't tipped by the defender, not Gentry. Ill advised throw at best.

Dobbs can move the football when the ball is in Steeler territory because he has the defense more spread out and he has room to scramble. However when he gets close to the goal line thats when his drives sputter or he turns the ball over. The defense tightens up and he doesn't have the room to take off and run. He is forced to rely on his arm instead of his feet and he is just too erractic a passer to get it done. He doesn't have any TD passes in 3 games for a reason.
