I'll give it a shot at the risk of being burned at the stake:

    • Boz remains money - and the Steelers will give him the bag next contract
    • Sawyer with some valuable reps, got his first sack and had 4 tackles, 2 assts
    • Warren - accounted for half the offensive yards. Not sure it was drawn up that way but I'll take it
    • Black - at least put up a good fight for the most part
    • Jones - hmm, when was the last time you read his name in the 'positives' column? He had a decent comeback after Wk1
    • Herbig - had some good pressure at times - EDIT: and a nice INT and return on Heyward's deflection.

Warren looks good even though he only put up 48 yards. Not counting his reception and his YAC

There were some positives to take away, not many though as pointed out.

The Steelers are not controlling the line of scrimmage at any point in time on either side of the ball.
If you cannot win the war in the trenches, it is tough sledding.

I'm very angry with Austin's defense and as I said before, you can twist Tomlin into it if you want but the bottom line for me is Austin's title. I blame Tomlin for stubbornly not recognizing that Austin is the defensive version of Matt Canada.
Remember, he owns the distinction of getting fired for running a defense that set a record over 3 games for points allowed.
The creativity is non-existent. They play the same schema as they did when Austin became the DC.

    Take the TJ Watt issue.
They gave him the contract making him highest paid, and in doing so promised to figure out ways to use him more effectively.
I don't know why anyone would buy that? They hadn't figured out to date how to do that.
I can imagine what Dick LeBeau would do.
But that's the thing, LeBeau found ways to get to the QB, Austin does not.
The Steelers are giving up 395 yads/game.
The Defensive roster has a lot of Q's, O's, and IR's.

    Coaching does have to evolve.

He can be our Alvin Kamara. I’d take that.

But they still play Gainwell way too much as a running back and receiver.

It's funny how some fans wanted to brag about Warren's YPC as RB2, like I said it would drop once he becomes RB1.

On further review, Trai Essex did point out that Broderick didn't handle the stunts Seattle threw at him. More of this can be found below in the post.

Beyond that?! I do agree that Broderick did look better when stunts were not called. That said, he needs to maintain his blocks.

More positivity, Rodgers is better than Fields and much better than Flacco after Wk2.

Unfortunately, the Steelers face Maye this week and he's on the rise:

Im positive that Austin should be retired and replaced as DC.

I'm positive that subpackage football is not something the Steelers should aspire to playing on defense.

I'm positive that playing with 3 DL with a true NT and not allowing the DE's to activate is a way to get back to smothering the run.

I'm positive that adding Ramsey has created just as many negatives as it has positives.

I believe the secondary is smoke and mirrors until they actually defend their zones.

Overall I can say positively that this isn't the same old Steelers and 1-1 is what they are on any given Sunday.

Wait I forgot one. I'm positively pissed off they spent all of camp wasting throws to Washington in the red zone and then dont try the play in an actual game. Also get a real fullback to spring Warren instead of having him get hit a yard shy of the LOS.

Starting to think Sam Darnold has some Mike Glennon juice on him, I don't think we have ever beat Sam Darnold, no matter who he has played for, he seems to beat us.

I think having a head coach who doesn't believe the opposing team can hang with his team if they do what they are supposed to has a large part to play in how some of these guys shine versus the Steelers?

I think it's both. He appears he's not a quick processor, so to speak, and all of us know we've had serious questions about OL coaching.

But but @Steelersfan43@Steelersfan43 said Fields will be better than Rodgers and the Jets (0-2) will have more wins this year with Fields than Rodgers

Unless he moves the goalposts again

Yes I said that Fields is better that current Rodgers and yes I could be wrong on that

But I never said that Fields and the Jets were to have more wins that the steelers with Rodgers this year...If I said this, just to show me that since I don't remember that if I said this

I remember my prediction for the steelers were 9-8,so I don't think I predicted 10-7 for the Jets

Did they move TJ on Sawyers sack or did they move Sawyer to Watt's side? Looked like both lineman went for Watt and Sawyer made a good play because of it. Too many times Watt will draw the bulk of the attention and Highsmith and Herbig can capitalize on it. As much as awe shucks Butler was I'd almost welcome him back to get away from Austin calling a defense where you leave Kupp covered by linebackers or Ramsey doing a Mike Mitchell imitation. It's great that he hits guys but he is looking into the backfield way too much when covering the slot.

Crazy to talk bad on Warren after yesterday. He’s one of our few players with heart. Our O Line is really bad.

Well we are still better off with Warren than with Harris

If you disagree feel free to respond or I’ll assume we are in agreement
