I figured we were somewhere near the top. We also have a fumble returned for a td.

The whole defense. Starting to see some things from them. I sense they are starting to gel and take some pride in their work.

He had 360 yards yesterday which was tops for QB's, and somehow he didn't even stand out as looking like he was having a great day. Maybe the fieldgoals instead of touchdowns lost some of the luster?

I'd give it to Ike for not playing

That's exactly it. He didn't score TD's, which is why I can't give him the game ball. TD's win games. If Gay hadn't taken one to the house, we could have been in serious trouble in this game due to our offence. They should have put 40+ on the Falcons, especially on that field.

I didn't realize you were so hung up on stats. See, I always thought the QB was a part of the team. Ben played awesome yesterday. I thought his pass to AB down to the 2 yard line at the end of the half took a lot more skill than Bell's 2 yard TD that followed it, but I guess not. Kudos to Bell for getting us that TD. I can't believe Ben failed us. :-(

I am going with my boy David Decastro. He picked up the blitz very well held his own and then some 1 on 1 and was a true Beast pulling on those runs. Bell , Brown , and Ben all played well , but the guy I watched do more for his Team overall was Big Dave. LOL.

Where did I say Ben failed us? Where did I say he played poorly? Where did I say he didn't play great? Either quote where I said those things or stop implying bull**** you know not to be true. I am purely talking the game ball here, as in the single best player on the field. There can only be one. That doesn't mean every other player on the field played poorly. Notice I also didn't give the game ball to Bell or Brown. As far as I'm concerned, the offence wasn't as good as they should have been. Not Ben, not Bell, not Brown, but the entire offence, hence me giving the game ball to a defensive player who I thought made a game changing play.

Is that okay with you, or do I need to announce that Ben is gods gift to this world to satisfy you? Maybe we shouldn't even have these threads anymore, we should just give the game ball to Ben every single week no matter what he does. Good lord, people are so insecure regarding Ben.

ps. In the gameday thread I mentioned what a great throw that was to Brown at the 2 yard line.

Ok Mr. Logic, my point was that apparently he could throw a 95 yard completion, but if the receiver gets tackled at the 1 yard line and a RB pounds it in the next play, the QB "Can't [get] the game ball" and can't be "the single best player on the field" because "he didn't get TDs." (Those were quotes.)

The offense didn't satisfy you, so you gave it to a guy on defense who made a big play. That's not so stupid. But you said the game ball is for the single best player on the field. Was that really William Gay? I understand wanting to mix it up, and it's your game ball, so you should give it to whoever you want. But you're going to get bent out of shape for someone suggesting a QB that played a great game deserves it? I like to give it to non-best players on the field too sometimes, just to give the lesser-knowns some recognition. Vince Williams and Gay were both worth a look this week. I'm sorry if it bores you, but if you're really looking at who the best player on are team was each week of the season, there's going to be a whole bunch of Ben, AB, and Bell, and not much of anyone else.

Jesus, project much? Between the two of us, I'm the one sensitive about Ben? Okay buddy...

You said if a player doesn't get a TD he's ineligible for a game ball, apparently regardless of how well he plays or how many TDs he set up. I thought that was stupid, so I said so.
