Is it possible that the league could flex that game since there's so much riding on it on Christmas night? That would be awesome for me because my wife just informed me that she unknowingly scheduled a family get together for 4pm on that day and didn't realize it conflicted with the Steelers and now I'm fuming mad and trying to find a way around it. I don't know about the rest of you guys but I absolutely can't stand to watch the Steelers with people that don't actually care about football. It's just annoying. I'm probably gonna wind up having to dvr the game and not get to watch it until later that evening so I can scream at the tv and be insanely angry at the Steelers in peace. :frustrated::frustrated::frustrated::mad:

I think they should flex the game just because your wife scheduled a family get together at the same time! ;)

Sorry but that is a game that isn't getting flexed. The only think needing flexing right now is your man hood to tell your wife that she missed the minimum notification time of the family get together.

I fixed it and called and told them that it would be better to do it Christmas Eve morning and they were totally fine with that. JOY TO THE WORLD! IT'S A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE! There is a show called This Is Us and it's actually about a family of die hard Steelers fans and there was an episode not too long ago about not wanting to watch Steeler games with non Steeler fans and I was like "This is my life to a t but most people will just think this is weird..." LOL!

Yeah the "League Brass" made an "Executive Decision" and flexed it himself... (Of course I'm talking about me...then I also told my wife to know her place and get back in the kitchen and fix me some biscuits and gravy). (Just keep this between us though...)

This works and is soooooo trendy - like headless Uber rides. I was going to suggest that BFT DVR's the family get together and then join them via VR glasses during commercials and halftime. Or if you hadn't resolved it so darn cleverly, you could have visited the cloning clinic like Michael Keaton in Multiplicity (excellent and hilarious flick).

There's only 2 games on Christmas Day. The night game is Broncos Chiefs. It's not getting flexed.
Good thing though the games are both nationally televised so at least we won't have to listen to all that.

Yeah it really is. I had thought about starting a watercooler thread to see who was watching it and recommend it. It's awesome that it has such a connection to the Steelers.

Oh I didn't realize that was the other game. Yeah they're definitely not flexing that one. I really hope the Chiefs win that game and if it turns out that we don't make the playoffs or get put out I would be pulling for the Chiefs to go all the way. However, if we wind up playing them again at some point I will be hoping for their utterly merciless destruction at the hands of us. LOL!

i hope you show that much initiative getting those UPS deliveries out around the holidays lol

i knew a Post Master General who would load his truck up with packages that didn't make the trucks for the USPS and deliver them all on Christmas morning. Thought that was pretty damn nice

So here's how I see this actually playing out: Wife goes to Kitchen...opens Freezer door pulls out some frozen Jimmy Deans microwavable Bisquits and Gravy...pops it in the microwave turns the Microwave on grabs her purse and Car Keys text's you on her way to her happy place (The nearest Mall) and tells you... breakfast is in the microwave enjoy!!!

We would do a larger family Thanksgiving dinner the Sunday after Thanksgiving. I left at 1:01pm when I found out the Steeler game was not on. Listened to it on a very static filled radio the 45 min drive ..and watched the rest of it at home. My GF at the time was soooooo angry with me. I told her. I only am guaranteed 16 of these a year....thats it. I can eat with those people anytime I want.
