I think it makes sense for him to ask the world.

Apparently, he signed a three year extension in March of 2025 that would keep him under contract to the end of the 2028 season.

I think coaching salaries are generally guaranteed.

So I think that means he'll get paid what his old contract said for the next three seasons if he doesn't take a job elsewhere else.

Not sure if that includes jobs that are outside the NFL (e.g. broadcasting, podcast?).

Apparently, his extension was going to pay him $17MM annually.

If all of this is true (I think it is, but I'm not sure), why would he take anything less than the perfect job in the next 3 years?
