I think 30 is perfect. Settled in your career, married, good physical shape.

This has to be the most ridiculous thread ever on this board, yeah let's fire a top 5 GM . Colbert keeps this team in contention every season without the benefit of picking early in the draft, or having tons of money to spend in free agency.

OK! While I consider my selection you prove Colbert had more than 6 good to really good defensive draft picks since 2011. You know what have you done for me lately.

HEY! I said defensive picks since 2011. You know what have you done for me lately. Don't change the sunject and don't tell me about ancient history. Can you do that? Bet you can't. Colbert and his team have selected exactly 5 good to really good defensive draft picks since 2011.

Being that Kevin Colbert has had exactly ONE below .500 season since he has been director of football operations/GM, or GM/Vice President. (2000)

I think his job is fairly safe.

Actually you said the following "If you want to fire Keith Butler, then at a minimum you have to consider firing Kevin Colbert. It is clear he and his staff have no clue how to consistently draft real defensive talent. The Steelers need to contract with some retired scouts who have a history of finding defensive talent particularly DBs. Colbert and his staff are terrible at drafting DBs. My take on Colbert's defensive draft picks."

Ultimately it doesn't matter. The Steelers were 12-3 last year. That's the best record since 2004. Players are hit or miss in the draft, and was pointed out, to fire Colbert would be simply foolish.

He did bring in 2 corners last year and two safeties this year from the draft. Both of the rookies drafted this year got an INT last game. So you're not making a very good case here to fire Colbert.
