I have Golic & Wingo on in my office and they just reviewed the suspensions and I am at a loss! They keep saying MR initiated the incident and I just don't understand why nobody is pointing out that Garrett "wrestled" MR to the ground 3 seconds after he threw the ball in an absolutely meaningless play! In that circumstance a defender should have simply brushed by the QB, there was nothing on the line and Garrett was just being a thug.

    Hey Da Stellars.

I will put it this way. Football is an emotional sport no matter whose fault it was. a lot of "Heat" in this sport.

Yes, he was. Late hit a d driven to the ground and laid on. The ref should've thrown a flag and blew the whistle. I'm already having the worse game of my life and you're gonna let this happen?! Yes, I'm gonna push him off of me ....helmet pads, or what have you. They played dirty all game. MR stood up to a dirty player like a man. Eight seconds left in the game. Garrett knew that the game was already over ... why do what he did? This is nothing more then when the Bengals tried to start a rivalry with us ... by playing dirty and not physical. Browns ... take notice of where that got them

Imagine that the play ended with Garrett wrestling MR to the ground in an absolute meaningless play and MR pushing him off in a pissed off fashion that's a great big no story other than the fact that Garrett should have been flagged!

Yes indeed, possibly the only good decision I've ever made. And the nice thing about being in the desert is we already have plenty of sand, no need to truck it in or wait eons for it to develop along the new shore line. I'm just worried about all the annoying LA debris that will keep washing ashore like kale, tofu and high colonic spa leftovers....

Here in Philly land, I'm getting hit from all sides when I go out in public in my Steeler gear. The main stuff I'm hearing is Mason smart mouth got him a bonk on the head. Just a typical day in Philly sports land.

Hey any chance you could send that sand to South Jersey?? We are losing our beaches fast and all winter hundreds and I do mean hundreds of truck loads of sand has to be moved around before summer tourist season is upon us. This last storm took an entire beach area away. Not good for community because we live on those 4 months of tourist.

With the way the League operates, I'm sure he would have been fined for not having his helmet on while he was in the field of play.

Garrett's defenders are saying he hit Rudolph with his helmet because Mason was coming after him. Are they saying that Garrett was so afraid of Mason Rudolph kicking his ass that he had no choice but to use a deadly weapon to defend himself? If that is their reasoning then that is utterly ridiculous. Rudolph going after Garrett was like a mouse attacking an elephant.

Looking at the play several times, Garrett started this as soon as he decided to take MR down needlessly. The abatement to the QB should have never been over once the ball left MR hand. Body slamming Rudolph down started it all. Of course Rudolph was going to react. If I actually thought Rudolph was at fault, I'd admit it. Saying Rudolph was at fault is troll talk. Garrett lit the match not MR.

If Garrett thought MR was charging him, he could have dropped the helmet, then shoved MR back.

Just throw the damn helmet to the side, and taunt MR by telling him to pick it up. He might have still gotten a game suspension for pulling a player off the ground by their facemask and ripping their helmet off, but he wouldn't have received an indefinite suspension.

There are fights all the time in the NHL. They know to drop their gloves before throwing punches, as it is far more dangerous than bare fists and will get severely penalized.

Totally agree, and when you look at the video his helmet takes a nice bounce off the ground. Myles gave it a little extra something at the end of that tackle...and I bet that is what set him off.

    Who started it???!!

Randy Fitchner Started it!!!! Want proof???

Less than 20 seconds on the clock inside your own 20 yard line down by two TD’s....... You are going to lose the game so he calls a Screen Pass....... The rush on that side of the line is let go to rush, giving Garrett a free run at Mason!!!!

Yeah , mason made the throw and Garrett hit him late and put on the ground so the rest of the blame falls on him.....

NO Excuse for using the helmet as a weapon!!!!!

    Hey Stone.

Whose fault this all boils down to is both relevant and irrelevant to a degree to me. What is mind-boggling to me, is that Garrett could have actually Killed/Crippled-Brain Damaged Mason for Life by hitting him with that helmet. And I would say this if the shoe was on the other foot.

I had stated something similar last week in that I have seen numerous sports objects used as weapons in heated games/athletic contests. I have seen the likes of football helmets, baseball bats, bowling balls, golf clubs, and other sports equipment utilized as weapons with the intent to inflict some serious damage. Wow, some of the outcomes were not pretty. ICU-type damage inflicted upon some of the victims. That was the most inexcusable part for me. I know it was emotional out there but both Mason and Garrett needed to just walk away or at the very least not let it escalate to that level.

If you rewatch that play and look very, very close, it's actually SDOT's fault

It's actually Rudolph's parent's fault for conceiving Mason.

Minkah failed to create a turnover for Mason, Ben never had that problem.

The defense didn't shut out the other team, poor Mason. This is easy.

    Allright I'm done roasting Rudolph.
