This is the worst coached team in pro football dead ball penalties. You got a penalty on the kick off for chrissakes. Every time I hear he should be the coach of the year. He’s wonderful get some more aviators on not real sure who you replace him with the only thing saving them as we have a tough schedule. I read an article that he would never have coordinators that would take his job. That’s apparent.

 

I agree. I thought some people were going off the deep end when they thought this team could compete for a division title. It has aged from this inside out. The importance placed on skill position players over building solid interiors on both sides of the ball is head scratching. I always thought teams should build from the inside out.

 

In fairness all the top linemen prospects are usually gone before they pick but there were some good ones there in 2021. Every team could redo drafts and rue their misses but imagine how much better we’d feel if they had taken Barmore and Humphrey with those first two picks. It’s not like those guys were total outliers, they were well regarded prospects.

The Devin Bush pick was also a big moment for the current roster, he cost them a first, second and third and he plays a non premium position. I and several others on here said at the time that it made no sense to do what they did. The fact that he busted makes it look even worse.

The eulogising that Colbert got on his way out the door was very very generous IMO. He did not leave this roster in good shape. They are poor at most of the premium positions, QB, CB, LT etc

 

Some of the recent drafts have been why the Steelers are what they are. Everything starts with the offensive line and they just have not invested enough draft capital to build a quality line.
They need to stop reaching in the draft it almost always ends up being a wasted pick. Bush is not quite average and a 10th overall pick should be an impact player and he is not. I think they panicked trying to replace Shazier. I am pretty sure there are two drafts where we have nothing , now I know some guys move on but 2015 n 2016 those should be your veteran players and we have not one left. From 2015 - 2018 we might have 5 or 6 players we should have 15 from 4 drafts. I really hope Khan knows what he is doing or realizes he doesn't and hires better scouts and puts some tighter controls on Tomlin come draft time.

You’re probably right, but one can hope. Some will lose their internet privileges. A few more will hop off the bandwagon. The cherry on top would be when the bridge collapses and crushes them.

Really? Maybe I'm just sick of mediocrity. This team is a train wreck but I'm suppose to believe everything is running smooth as silk.

 

There’s not a single person out there claiming everything is running smoothly. Anyone paying attention knew this is a young team and there are going to be some growing pains. I’ve been hoping we would be **** for a few years just get get an influx of top tier talent. It’s finally happening. It might only take one year or it might take 3-4. Either way I’ll still be watching the Steelers.

 

They have a rookie QB, their best player is out, most people expected it to be a down year.

 

Maybe Cowher should begin to speak up,,he can start off by saying " Now that all of my players and coaches are gone, Tomlin has been getting worse, now that his final security blanket is gone ( Ben ) it just shows how this guy really is"

 

Who expects you to believe that?
