Not trying to start a rumor mill thing, but I've been hearing a lot of talk about Pittsburgh maybe trying to trade with the Eagles for DB Eric Rowe. Anyone else hearing this? Just wondered if anyone heard if it was B.S. or not.

I know a lot of us liked him in the draft two years ago.

Can't tell you how much I'd love that, wanted us to draft him bad.

I haven't heard anything about this though.

I saw some talk of it last week, but I haven't seen anything credible. They are reportedly seeking a linebacker and looking to trade (not Rowe specifically).

I hadn't heard anything ,but the reports from joint practice are our DB'S are all banged up and the ones that are playing are not playing very well... So yes we should trade for him if we can get him, we still need lots of help back there it seems..

:lolol:They'll make the trade for Rowe and never play him and release him by December. Sound familiar?

Personally I'm concerned with the number of fifth round picks we have - we should be trading them as soon as humanly possible.

If we still had Boykin we could just send him back to Philly in favor of Rowe. LOL!

Yeah really any player that wasn't taken in the first round has no place on this roster. Fact: Every single player in the Pro Football Hall of Fame was a first round draft pick and 87.3% of them were taken as the first pick. Yeah. A lot of people don't know that.

I'm on record as being one that wasn't crazy about him during the draft , I thought 1st rd pick talk was crazy. I said then I wouldn't take him until the 3rd rd. In philly he struggled early but by seasons end showed promise. Why he's 3rd team is puzzling, new coaching staff?, who knows but a trade for him is out. Wait and see who's out there after the final cuts are made. Now if they'll take Zumwalt and Fort together I'd go with that.... We're stacked inside and personally I'd give them Feeney too .

I'm curious as to whether you meant our D-Line was "unflappable" or if you think they are so good it is fap-worthy, or if the thought of 3 300+ pound men is sexually desirable. Really, seems like a wide range of possibilities

Idk but the whole "theyre so good theyre fappable" isnt quite there yet. Havent seen Gravedigger play in the NFL. Our DTs arent fappable. They can play the run well though I'm sure, we always do.

The Tuitt/Heyward Tandum is perty fappable though.

Tyler Matekevich for Rowe would make sense, if the Eagles are looking for a ILB he played his college ball in Philly.

That's a toss up for me, I like Rowe but Matakevich just seems like one of those guys who isn't flashy but gets the job done. Steady and reliable, can't ask for much more. It's early on him no doubt, but he'd be a tough swap for me.

Just a great Pittsburgh LBer name to boot...
