If the Steelers keep up their current pace, and finish the season strong, they will have many people in the organization up for awards. Many of these are a long shot.

    Colbert-GM of the year
    Tomlin-Coach of the year
    Claypool-Rookie of the year
Ben-Comeback Player of the year and MVP
    Watt-Defensive Player of the year

Ben has 0 shot at MVP. Might not even get a vote. Colbert and TOMLIN are certainly on pace if they finish 14-2 or better.

He said Ben for Comeback player of the year also. I think that’s possible?

Yeah I don’t think he has a legit shot at MVP at this point, but that could change.

If Alex Smith does anything that award is his. He almost died for goodness sakes.

I don't think he will either. My point was the original poster said Ben would win MVP and comeback player of year awards

To be fair he did say many were long shots.

If they go 16-0, and Ben throws for like 40 TDs he has a chance to be in the running for MVP.

Ben hasn't done enough stat wise to be considered for MVP. The team is winning, but I'm not sure that matters much to the voters. He needs to do more to catch Wilson, Rodgers and Mahomes.

Comeback player would be his in a normal year, but Alex Smith almost died due to his injury, so it will be tough to beat him
