they really couldnt suspend him for a legal hit. if anything the ref that blew that call should have been suspended for a game.

Of course they couldn't...its why they didn't....but many already know his next will probably be a suspension and as soon as they called helmet to helmet on that hit....we all thought it would be gone....when they showed the replay...it was figured he would not....but with the new regime you just never know.

i think the whole H2H hits being flagged is getting out of control. i know there are about 2500 ex players that have filed a claim against the NFL and they are now trying to cover their butts, but at what cost?

they are taking away from the game. if you are running at full speed to hit a WR in the chest and that WR lowers his head which then changes the target the defensive player was aiming at and then they go H2H, why is that on the DB? maybe at some point the WR's need to learn to take a hit and not put their heads down.

if the WR is defenseless than im all for a penalty and even a suspension, but if its a hit that is taking place in the flow of the play and they just happen to hit H2H, i see no reason for there to be a penalty and definetly not a suspension.

so according to the explanation as to why Reed is being suspended (multiple offender), i fully expect Clark to get suspended on his next H2H hit.
