That worked well for the NBA but they have a lot less players then an NFL team. It's annoying not having a regular schedule each week. Really wish this **** would go away!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'll feel like we match up well when we show more consistency. I don't know this team right now. Offensively, I'm starting to get a handle, but I'm not convinced our OL can hold up against the better defenses. Defensively, I don't think our secondary can be enough of a hurdle for any team to not give us problems. I'll have a better idea when November rolls around...I think.

Thank the gods we didn't play the Titans last week. That would have been a whooping. Bills are gonna lay a beat down on Steelers if 3rd down defense doesn't improve.

    Tomlin Egg?!

If such an aspect were the case in 2020, Pittsburgh should be 2-2 right now; losses to both Denver and Philly being the big ones!

The Tomlin egg lay is inevitable in 2020. I predict either the Bengals or Football Team.

Hmm.... if this were 2014 to 2018, I would agree. However, given how well we have improved on defense from those years to now?! Doubt it.

As I said in another thread, mental errors. That said, those can be fixed. For that matter, no better way to fix it than a Rivalry Game?! :butcher:

I'm not convinced. I can see Steelers cruising along at possible Division crown and 2-4 seed and then sh!t the bed against a bottom feeder. And then...Steelers will do their usual late season scramble for 5-7 wildcard seed.

Steelers need to win Sunday if they want a shot at the division crown. Ravens will sweep Ohio.

    I am. Let me explain.

This team is different than the ones fielded from the aforementioned years I posted. For one, this team has an actual defense this time around. For two, our Offense is actually creative as opposed to just simply lining up and mainly relying on talent. Most importantly, for three, this team is playing like a true team unlike the circus troupe from the "Killer Bs" era.

For me, this team is far different than what I have seen from the 2010s. A team that can play complimentary football is a team that can go far. Will they be perfect?! Absolutely not. That said, can they get into the playoffs?! Most definitley.

Do not let this slow start by the defense fool you Heinz. You said it yourself last season that we had a real defense for the first time in years. Give them another shot.

Anybody worried about the Bills anymore after tonight's debacle? I'm certainly not. Their defense looks atrocious.

They are missing Tre'Davious White. That is immense. Had the Bills had him for tonight, I doubt the results would have as immense.

AJ Brown took Josh Norman to school.

I'm with aql. This Steeler defense looks good. Save their peak for the playoffs.

So are the Bills that bad all of a sudden? Or are the Tennessee Snotrags just that good? The answer lies somewhere in between. Not a lot of good film on TN and a lot of film on Buffalo probably made a difference. Two weeks of preparation and finding a way to avoid rust also likely tipped the scales in TN's favor.

I expect the Bills to bounce back from this and for TN to come back down to earth.

But I'm more worried about us finding ways to put together more complete games in all 3 phases than I am with our competition.

You logic as far as the rivalry game can't be argued but I simply don't get why Tomlin is good for a couple rotten eggs every year. And I predict it will come as a result of lack of discipline.....the kind of discipline that is easily coached as opposed to kind that comes from reps.

Gotta beat Browns or none of this matters Hahahahahahaha!

Ravens loss and Steelers win would be the early season best thing of 2020 so far.

I like it that Ben said you need to throw out the records when you play in the division.

Our record (4-0) doesn't matter - Big Ben

Now where have I heard that before?

That’s good of Ben to say that. That’s a great attitude for a player or a coach.
For fans it’s perfectly fine to be excited and optimistic about our record.
We don’t have to take it one game at a time. As fans we can look ahead or be overly confident about an upcoming opponent with no repercussions.
