According to Ed Bouchette in his chat yesterday, Ventrone is on the 53 man roster for the Cheats.

So on top of everything else, he's dumb as a brick? He does know that another team could sign him off the Steelers practice squad if they wanted to make him a starter :lolol: , right?

In hind sight I think he made the right choice in turning down a practice squad position.

Few players go from the practice squad to the regular team this time of year unless there's an injury.

He's already been making NFL salary so the money for Practice squad is peanuts to him. Why take a chance on getting hurt for peanuts?

This time of the year it is unlikely another team would sign him off of someone else's practice squad. As a free agent he is much better off waiting until the season is over and then finding a team that will sign him where he could have a chance to go to OTA's, and training camp and show off what he can or cannot do.

I believe he still won't make it but that's his best shot.

Dri Archer reminds me of Dennis Dixon thinking he was going to leave and start elsewhere. Turns out he was right. Now he's starting at Dairy Queen.

I'm the one that actually asked Big Ed that questions LOL. Internet says Practice squad, so that means the Steelers could take him.
But, Big Ed doesn't like to be proven wrong.

It doesn't matter what you say because it's true Dri sucks, he was with the team for 1 and a half years and did absolutely nothing. We never saw that so called 4.26 speed, one of Colbert's biggest biggest draft blunders.
