Noticed this while rewatching yesterday's game.

Ben diagramming plays on a dry erase board on the sideline in the 4th quarter. I look for this sort of thing all the time, and he, like all QB's, goes over the overhead photos with coaches, but never this. Has anyone ever noticed it before?

Dang maybe they should burn that erase board, given they didn't score again after using it.

    Good caption this photo:

Ben "look when you use the marker, you can just wipe it away...crazy"
AB " my turn, Ben, my turn...let me try"

Ben is clearly the team M.V.P.

I never understood how people would suggest that Ben never did his homework. I've never heard any of his teammates or coaches questioning Ben. However, us fans have. I don't know why people think they have locker room status on Ben and know how he preps before and after game time...

They should've ran the ball more in the second half.

We used to diagram them on the palm of our hands while everyone huddled around to make sure the other kids couldn't see. How do we know that's not what the Steelers do in the huddle???!!! LOL!

I never have, its news to me.
He is too great to look at
updated football strategy.Remembers stuff from practice.

Locally Ben supposedly is throwing TH
under the bus again even though # 7 calls most of the plays in the no huddle. Which we were in
alot, Seems when Steelers win it is Ben's greatness, when they lose, its all TH fault,I am in no way Sticking up for TH,I didn't want him here in the first place, nor did I want BA. Say good bye Todd.

It's to a dry erase board numbnuts! Based on their combined off-field adventures, Ben & Todd are drawing up Cody "The Molester" Wallace's hemmy stretching play. :roflmao:

Seen that during the game. The group I was watching the game with talked about how it was cool to see Ben being a leader.

While I will say its rare (if ever) to see this on TV, I was at the Steelers-Patriots game in Foxboro in 2008 (sitting 5 rows behind the Steelers bench), and Ben was clearly visible constantly talking to his receivers and backs. I couldn't hear the discussion but it was clear to me that day that Big Ben has a coaching future.

i don't actually see anything written on the board. I think it was just cover so they could sniff the markers

I am not all that surprised to see this. Even though Ben has a more "street ball" way of playing, I think there is no doubt he is a very intelligent football player and probably has some ideas that he thinks would work based on what the D is showing him.

I know Ben has played some Basketball and this is a pretty common thing in Basketball to draw up plays on the board.

It kind of makes sense late in games. Once Defenses make adjustments and kind of know what to expect in games sometimes teams will run a play, but change up 1 of the routes to fake the defense out.

Can anybody be sure it's not a snow-covered Ouija board, the way our teams luck has been. Somebody opened up some kind of gateway. Maybe it all started when Tomlin"unleashed hell". Now we have to figure out how to send it back.

Maybe he is showing the adjustment he wants the receiver to make, in a given situation. Versus drawing up a new play.
