    Was Frey injured? Surprised to see him gone this early.

    More like Tomlin did not want that 6th round compensatory pick gone. Either way, Boykin is now a foregone conclusion. Here's hoping to Donald Washington.

    In addition, is anyone noticing that the current trend of defensive backs being brought in by the Steelers are now over 5'11?

    That and Keith Butler is catching up with the rest of the NFL regarding the consistent presence of athletic WR's with speed to kill and aggressive catch tendencies.

    I had a discussion with the sun and it came up today I'm pretty sure that means I'm a God that or I have some sort of magical powers, :hmm: maybe I should try to destroy Tom Brady, quick underlings bring me my 20 sided dice I need to roll a critical hit.

    I'm a little nutty and occasionally talk to myself. Even I don't come up with some of this stuff.

    The draft was a smoke screen so that they could fake out Ozzie, Marvin Lewis, the math club that meets at the 5th St Kinkos in Cleveland and take their real target! Washington

    Blue=humor it's my new thing:sneak:
    Edited cause I'm an idiot especially tonight

    The Steelers need another veteran CB, Gay and Cockrell are the only CBs with starting experience. If they were to get injured the team would be relying on too much youth and inexperience in the secondary.

    Also Washington has been in the CFL the past 2 years... Not our brand I know, but that would/could/should inherently keep some rust off

    You would think so. I consider Washington a veteran with considerable experience. I think he upgrades us on the backend of our depth if nothing else.

    Just goes to show how bad the Talent level at this position has been. I hope he has been working out and watching film for 4 years. If he has who knows he may be a great come back story...

    From the way the team is cutting and adding players in the secondary, they are very serious about upgrading the overall secondary. I commend them on their sense of urgency.

    If Washington does pan out, at the very least that would be a good contingency plan should Willie's level of play deteriorate.

    This years, Shawn Lemmon. Probably won't make the squad either.

    There will be a number of these type signing and releases between now and camp.

    No..you knew the Sun was going to come up BEFORE discussion.

    Remember, everyone told me, " Steelers don't take first round cornerbacks; It doesn't matter the height of a cornerback" and other stupid blah, blah, blah things. LOL.

    I wish we would have signed Delvin Breaux from the CFL last year who came in for a visit. He ended up signing with the Saints and was rated top 10 by PFF for cornerbacks late in the year. Didn't see how he ended the year ranked, but they have to cover a lot of ground in the CFL. If anything it helps their open field tackling you would think. Breaux was a N.O. kid anyway, probably wanted to go back home. Oh well, hope Washington makes some contributions.
