Do Steelers try & sign...Prosecutors: Matt Araiza wasn't present during alleged rape

I've always found this literature to be extremely informative.

 

Thay had him under contract, they were aware of the situation, and at some point and time cut him. He is a FA, but I would not touch him until the civil case is decided, there is just to much there that can still come out.

 

As a 21 year old, he had consensual sex with a 17 year old girl who claimed to be 18. No teenager has EVER lied about their age before! Is he supposed to card her?

 

The age difference thing has changed a lot through the years. Back around 1950 my in-laws got married when he was 32 and my mother-in-law was 15. My father-in-law would be in prison now but they had a good marriage having 6 kids.

In this day, yep. stupid games might have cost this guy millions. Punters don't make big bucks, but do a good job and you can hang around 15 years, I know we were all young and stupid..but you just can;t be THAT stupid.

According to the authorities, eyewitness testimony establishes that Araiza left the party well before the point at which the girl claimed she was brought to the room where the alleged assault took place. In fact, authorities were hard-pressed to concede an assault had taken place at all; video footage of the sexual encounter suggested that it was consensual.

Interviews with more than 35 witnesses—including the girl's friends—further undermine her claims, according to Deputy District Attorney Trisha Amador:

Witness interviews from the party, including two of the girl's own friends whom she arrived with, said that she didn't appear to be drunk at the time. Other witnesses said the girl was telling people she was 18.

"A witness who was in the house gave a statement saying that at — at least one point in the party, that you made a statement telling people at the party you were 18," Amador explained to the accuser. "Another witness at the party, a different one, says that they specifically heard you say you were 18 …"

Amador also explained to the girl that additional witness testimony alleged that at this period of time, "you were approaching men at the party saying, 'I want you to [expletive] me and if you don't [expletive] me you're a [expletive]."

 

I thought they came out last year and said they're not wanting him to boom kicks? Something about hang time and placement. I'm guessing that messes with your mechanics a bit and when you try to let one go, you're essentially changing your swing.

 

Sounds a lot like the stuff with Ben down in Milledgeville.

She should have gone after a certain other much more famous person. She could claim it happened 29 years ago and even though she wasn't even born yet a jury would still believe her fake story and award her millions.

Maybe one of the reasons why the DA dropped the charges is because they couldn't definitively say that there was a rape as opposed to consensual sex between her and multiple guys. Sounding more like a spring break thing all the time.

 

Well on the 2nd day and still no one saying the obvious, I think it's time to remind us of tradition..

No to argue, but You can only teach so much to Guys that have been playing, and doing something since they were 7 years old. You can mostly polish them, but You can't reprogram them in the time You have with them. That's why picking the right players are so important...., and I laugh at people suggesting they take a Qb that has been doing something their whole lives, and then think they can teach them not to do it in the short time they have with them.
