WOW, so no more Sunday Ticket. Thats going to a huge blow to them, I know I’ll drop them now. I don’t dislike the service but I also have Verizon so I’ll just run everything through them, phone/internet/TV.

Screw DTV, they had a monopoly they charged a premium for for a long time. Never gave the public cheaper options. I hope they go out of business. Now with younger generations streaming, no way they're keeping up numbers.

Directv will be part of Dish in 2 years. They just lost the one thing keeping them open. Their parent company was trying to get rid of them anyway.. no more satellite.... instead going to online streaming.

I'll be sad to see DTV lose Sunday ticket.... for ESPN+ most likely streaming and buffering...... but we will see

I agree, they are the biggest bait and switch company that I've ever dealt with. Won't be sad to see them go. Years ago, they used to charge like a $2.25 Royalty fee. It's not that much but they kept adding fee onto fee onto fee onto other fees over the years. Finally got fed up and called to ask what the actual Royalty Fee was and the customer support could not answer the question. I said it must be the name of the CEO's yacht.

I've kept it 4 one reason only. NFL ticket.
    I never had 2 miss a game.
Now I don't know about streaming the game much, but I watch once at this Dudes house , and he was streaming a game.....like 5 times during.... it started...buffering. Hell with that.

I agree. Streaming sports sucks. I remember texting my buddy about a TD once and he was streaming and it ruined the moment for him. Buffering was nauseating to me when I tried it.

NFL Ticket will continue on DTV until 2023 and then move to ESPN+

Switched to NFL Game Pass for $99 this last season (vs DTV's $250/mo) and watched all games on delay right after game ended. Also could access a 10 year archive of all NFL games (although older games were chopped up pretty bad with many gaps and missed plays) Wasn't much different than putting the DVR on hold for long periods when watching "live" on DTV while doing other things around the house to avoid commercials and halftime the past 10 years or so.

I dropped DirecTV years ago because the NFL ticket lost all value once you had Thu night, Sun night, and Mon night football. Add the 3 you got every Sunday and there really weren't a lot games worth watching you were missing.

Oh, and if you ever paid more than $75 for the Sunday ticket you were doing it all wrong. I would call every year and negotiate with them. It would take some time but eventually you'd get it down to below $100 with a few kickers thrown in.
