Time for DJ to grow up and take a bigger role next season. Not all his fault but much of it is. Quit being a diva and find the end zone. It would help by running TOWARDS it!

 

I was really hoping he wouldn't get those 2 points... then I would have been tied with him on how many points we both scored for the steelers this year... and I don't even play for the team!

If there had been enough time left in the game, he would’ve been run backwards for enough yards to negate those two points. Lol!

 

He tries to do to much , he needs to work on the routine catches and not try and make every play a home run ..A better OC should help him a lot by designing plays that get him 1on 1 with less clutter around him.. The current route concepts don't fit his style at all ..Also he needs to check his ego at the door as Pickens is hands down a better WR than him ..

The Coaches need to let him know that in the exit interview and whoever we interview as a OC needs to know that plays can and will be designed for Pickens he will be our Primary guy to build the route Tree around..

 

He needs to be WR2 next year. Pickens has already shown he is WR1. DJ needs to work on drops over the offseason and become the NFL's best WR2 next year. Find a WR3 in the draft or FA.

Austin should step into the slot/WR 3 role pretty easily if he stays healthy in camp I think.

 

it's not a problem - throw the ball to Pickens. Get DJ out of the organization. He cost us the DET game last year too. he costs MUCH more than he REWARDS. He fumbled today too, but the refs gave him a sympathy call...

Totally agree!!! His situational awareness many times is lacking. Warren is the opposite, he smells the sticks for first downs where DJ runs out of them!

that's the point. He hurts this team, year in and year out. he seems not very bright to me, unable to learn from years of blunders. move on from him.

 

DJ runs some of the nicest routes I've seen, and he can make defenders miss at will.

The problem is he doesn't always have situational awareness.

I dont blame him for the lack of touchdowns, because our passing game is garbage. However, he needs to play smarter.
