You are the one that said there is no benefit of a player coming out and I said the player might benefit from coming out. Who is the one assuming?

 

There have been NFL players come out after they retired, but an active player is taking a big risk coming out while he's still playing, just a hunch...

 

OK, then someone explain what the risk is? And why the hell do you have a name for it?

As stated before, there are already laws against discrimination and processes in place withing the labor unions and the teams for grievances. People have already died to give that right. Either you want to tell everyone your preference or not , that becomes your decision and if you have fears, that's your problem not the rest of the locker room.

It doesn't matter whether you benifit from it or not. Why should you have to benefit from something all the time?

 

Again, you have yet to say what a gay player coming out has to do with Goodell.

 

I think it's because the player might be Goodell's boyfriend.......maybe... LOL.

Roger Staubach did say just that, in an interview when he was asked what he thought about Joe Namath chasing a lot of women, Roger said he liked sex as much as the next guy, he just prefered to do it with one woman..A football player coming out isnt the same as a gay coming out who works in an office or some other form of employment because a player is in a more intimate setting in the locker room , some have came out after they retired but coming out while they are still playing could create a lot tougher enviornment for themselves......
