I didn't notice this last week during the game but this week they showed the long TD by Thomas from last week and it showed BLATANTLY that Mundy got held BIG TIME! I rewound it and showed my wife and even she noticed it without me telling her about it. We've been bashing on the D all week but man with plays like that it's pretty easy to see how we lost. Did anyone else notice it? I've not seen anyone post anything about it this week so that's why I'm asking.

Oh yeah, I've said it a couple times as have a few others. I laughed to my wife when they were showing that commercial tonight. Probably should have sped through that part. :lolol:

Thanks for posting about this. It was actually an illegal block in the back, and I noticed it when it happened live last week and again in the commercial. A horrible non call that changed the entire game.

If TTF can post that ad on here it would be great and I would call him a right good feller. When you see it man it will make you mad.

What made me mad is our defence looking invisible. I don't have much faith that we would have beat Denver even if that call went our way. We just didn't look good. I would like to see it though.

They were showing the ad to show a milestone in Peyton's career or something. And I'm think "yeah and with officiating that bad he'll be having a lot MORE milestones too!" Wow that was so blatant it's ridiculous.

Well it would've taken a TD off the board at least. I'm sure someone can put it on here. I don't know how to do all that fancy schmancy stuff. I saw it on tv and wouldn't even know how to tell you where to look for it. I'm sure you can't just type in "ryan mundy gets mugged on national tv" and find it. Though really you should be able to. LOL.

I noticed it. You can see Mundy's jersey stretched out. No doubt about that one.

I was probably just so mad that I didn't see it when it happened. I haven't seen this Papa Johns ad either.

If you could find the actual commercial you would see it in motion. It's not one of those things where he just BARELY grabs it. He actually holds on to it and pulls him!!

Yes it was a hold and there were crappy calls... On both sides. Our squad wasn't able to put points on the board on O and our D let Peyton and crew do what they wanted. Let's not sound like whiny seahags fans.

Noone is trying to whine we are just pointing out something that we missed last week. Really the big "talked about" play has been Timmons chasing Manning(or whatever you might call it) but noone has been talking about this play. This play was huge because we had just had that long drive and then they come and do this and just demoralize us. Not whining just observing.

Yeah, I get it guys. It was a bad call. But that is not the reason the Steelers lost. And to keep harping on it, makes us sound whiny. This is the kind of thing that causes me to make fun of fans whose team loses and then want to make all kinds of excuses about why their team lost including that refs missed calls and screwed them. Steelers lost to a team who executed better and was the better team that day.. It wasnt the refs who caused the Steelers to not execute.

Agreed. We make fun of Seahawks fans for crying about bad calls. The fact is, bad calls happen to every team. Sometimes calls go our way, sometimes they don't. In the end, if we play well enough to win, we usually will, with or without the calls going our way.

Yeah, that didn't help, would have liked to have that one back. I think Peyton would have went on to rip us to pieces that night anyway though.

Is that another holding call that comes into frame just before the end?

I had to pause the game before Thomas got to the 30 so I could freak out. Said a quick prayer that they'd throw a flag, pressed play, resumed freakout. I was surprised I didn't read about it here. I didn't open all the threads, but I didn't see any discussion. I was shocked that even the replacement refs managed to miss it, considering the timing. It was not only blatant, but it was towards the end of the play, after everything else was over except the chase to the end zone. It was the only thing going on. WHERE ELSE WERE THEY LOOKING?? You can actually see one of the refs, the one on the sideline, turn his head to look towards the end zone (as to not fall down) every second. He alternates between watching the play and watching where he's running in equal parts for the length of the play.

I did catch it in the Papa Johns ad, too, and wondered if it was a Steelers fan doing the editing.

"Hey Bob, put in a clip of Peyton Manning's touchdown!"
    "Yeah, sure thing! Lousy rotten..."
