Man some people are clueless, the IRS will only go after people who make over $400,000, if you're living paycheck to paycheck they aren't going to waste their coming after you . Now back to the topic of football, after all this is a football message board .

Nope, you’re wrong about that. I’ve been working with small businesses for the last 25 years and the IRS has no qualms about coming after the little guy.

Now back to football. I cannot believe that there were actually a few members of this message board who were clamoring after Deshaun Watson. Glad the Steelers were smart enough to stay far away from that crap show!

I personally know 4 people that made under a 100.000 dollars in a year that got audited. If you think that they will not go after everyone then I don't know what to say to you.

I'm going by what I have read about them hiring 87,000 new agents, I'm not worried about it personally.

Disagrees, but can't offer any relevant argument why. He likes to plant his head up the back side of any player that has star power. I'm sure Watson enjoys it.

Happy Cinco De Mayo from Houston.

Not all Watson's accusers agreed to the settlement. 1 of the accusers will be taking Watson to court accusing him of assault and rape.
Lauren Baxley, a licensed massage therapist, has accused Watson of improperly exposing himself to her and causing his genitals to touch her during a massage session in June 2020, when Watson was playing for the Houston Texans at the time.

“Today we filed a motion to put Lauren Baxley’s case on the trial docket, in the Houston court where it was originally filed,” attorney Tony Buzbee said.

Browns Deshaun Watson may Have First Case go to Trial - Sports Illustrated Cleveland Browns News, Analysis and More

And in case you were wondering where this June 2020 case is going...
Q: What is the statute of limitations for sex crimes against adults?
The criminal statute of limitations in Texas for rape and other sexual assaults involving a victim who is 18 years of age and older is 10 years from the date of the offense.

The civil statute of limitations involving victims of sex crimes that are 18 and older is 5 years.

I tell you one thing: The Browns have bet the ranch on Watson. If he is not who they think he is, or he is injured, or they can’t afford to put a good enough supporting cast around him, they will have Browned up that franchise for years to come, even more Browned up than it was before. They just have so much money in that contract and gave up so much draft capital that they won’t be able to buy an ace bandage for the next ten Browning years.
They certainly have a history of Browning up their draft. They can have entire chains of Brownian events that last years. RB Trent Richardson was drafted in the first round, was a bust, and was shipped off for another draft pick, which was used to take……Johnny Manziel. They actually had two first round draft picks that year, and the Browns Browned up both of them. The other was Justin Gilbert, who played some special teams for a year with the Steelers, who gave the Browns a sixth rounder for him.
So since they Browned up on a QB so many times in the draft (Quinn, Weeden, Manziel, Mayfield, etc.), they decided to see if they could Brown up a trade for Watson. I bet they will. I bet he’s gonna not be able to shake off the rust from not playing, or there will be more lawsuits from women asking “Did I trim my fingernails for this?

Stupidest contract in the history of sports! The fact that it was negotiated and agreed to by someone who cut his teeth in the Steelers organization makes it that much more puzzling given the Steelers history of negotiating and structuring contracts in a fair, reasonable, logical and equitable manner. What was Haslam thinking???!!!

Well going to have to realize now that Watson is now back for the whole season for the Browns.

I would chalk the contract up to more of desperation rather than blatant stupidity for the Browns. Definitely one of those "Browns" moves but given how little leverage they had... Deshaun Watson made out like a bandit here... literally. While I do believe most than Deshaun Watson can return to form (how much so is a very fair question I might add), let us not forget that Kenny Pickett will be growing as well.

How much though for Kenny is a far bigger question than Deshaun as Kenny's development is heavily reliant on Matt Canada.

All the more reason I keep telling people on this board that, should the Browns be at a record lower than .500 by the time Week 8 rolls around in the NFL, look for the Browns to be big sellers. For that matter, one can already see them playing their hand as it is; a trade acquisition for ZaDarius Smith being the latest in a flurry of moves in stating that Cleveland knows fully aware that this will be their final chance to go all in. After 2023.... phew boy... good luck with that cap hit + limited cap space.

Interesting details leaking out from the Commissioner’s office about the Watson case. Apparently they knew there was a sex scandal involving a prominent NFL player and massage therapists, but they initially didn’t know which player was involved.

    However, twenty women fingered Watson.

Nope. He apparently felt that the massage included a prostate massage.
