But on the topic of just football. Fine. Let Mr. Watt come in and be the Equalizer. I can care less if the Clowns field Watson or Brisket. They will all clown.

Explain how conduct against women effects the outcome of football games like the other 2. The nfl aren't the police. It's their job to handle criminal proocdures.

So let me get this straight. Ben gets 6 games (reduced to 4) for one sexual assault accusation. Brady gets 6 games (I believe also reduced to 4 games) for deflate gate. Antonio Brown was suspended for 8 games for his sexual assault and I believe intimidation. Now D.Watson gets 6 games for 22+ sexual assault allegations, but agrees to make payments to each of his accusers (because that is what you do when you are innocent). Yeah, that seems equitable.

If there is any truth to Watson making $100k payments to the plaintiffs for "alleged accusations" I hereby state that Deshaun Watson touched me in my bathing suit area. (I can really use the money right now)

Other players got eight games for allegations but no official charges by one woman and no settlement which is admitting to some guilt. So by this logic, Watson should get 6 games times 24 to be consistent. Lady judge screwed the pooch on this one. No biggie. Deshawn overrated anyway. Losing record and one whole playoff win against bengals

The Houston Texans settled complaints from 30 women now.

I don't know what the NFL is going to do with the extra 6 women that have now come forward recently in the Texans out of court settlements.

The NFL only allowed the "judge" to hear complaints from 5 women, but their are now 30 women involved. Is the Decision just to be based on these 5 women's cases, and then their will be another decisions later on for these additional women who are coming forward?

Anything less than a 10 game suspension is a joke.

Seems like The Stains have an awfully small window to get the return they want for selling their soul.

When I read the statement the NFLPA put out yesterday, I kind of figured the suspension was going to be lite.

The only thing I can say in Watson's defense is, that he did already miss an entire season unpaid. I am not sticking up for Watson. But if you add the 6 games on to the time he has already missed that is quite a long suspension.

I thought he was suspended without pay last year??? Is that not the case? Seriously asking.

Too bad they didn’t throw him in jail. He could have gotten all the free prostate massages he wants! Plus a few he doesn’t want!

No, he was paid for last season. The league had taken no action against him. I don't think the Texans actually ever officially suspended him. They just kept him off the active roster and paid him his full salary.

Roethlisberger got 4 games for much less... so did Brady. Watson is lucky he didn't get at least 10 games, IMO.

Roethlisberger was initially suspended for six games, then had it reduced on appeal. Watson should have been out for the season, but the NFL botched the entire process.

Or maybe they didn't. Maybe the NFL was just putting on a show while not really wanting to give Watson any more than a minimal punishment all along. They can appeal and they can make sure it is Goodell who rules on the appeal. Sure, that will bring a lawsuit from Watson and the NFLPA, but if the league is really serious about doing the right thing, that's exactly what they will do. My bet is on them claiming they need to respect the arbitrator's ruling, trying to push the blame on her while getting what they wanted all along, the star player back on the field as soon as possible.

Plus they deferred practically all of his salary this year to future years so he wouldn't get hurt this year. He's basically not paying any price. The Stains are scum.

The fact that he was paid does change my thoughts. I agree, the NFL definitely botched this. However, suspension or not Watson did miss an entire season over this. I am sure that played into the judges decision.

That suspension works out to less than a quarter of football per hand job. Boy did he get off easy :)
