This is the guy I'd want the most from the T position. You can move Chux to the left side. Dude is just a beast.

I wonder about him. It sure does seem Wiedel has a propensity to pick the large OL. The question is will his health hold at that size?

The scouting report I read is that he has "heavy feet" but he does have an incredible 89.5 inch wing span which would be the largest in NFL history. As far as run blocking goes there are no questions about that. He destroys anyone across from him.

I like Darnell Wright from TN with our pick at #32. After Sr bowl week, he's getting some interest in the late 1st round. Big, strong, decent feet, good in pass pro.

Wright certainly has been battle tested. He's played 2,746 snaps on the Volunteers O-Line over the last 4 years against SEC pass rushers.

From what I've seen of him he is going to have a large amount of problems from speed rushers. He can't reach out and grab someone so he has to at least get in front of them. I'm really leery of this guy

This is what I keep thinking. Chuk is the best LT currently on the team.

If the Steelers are not going to use the #17 pick to select a LT to replace Moore, then why not pick up a RT in the 2nd round and let Chuks move to the Left and compete with More for the starting job.

They had it right when Banner was our RT and Chuks and Moore were battling it out for the Starting LT position.

I would like to see the Steelers take Torrence with #17, a CB like Smith with #32 and Dawand Jones with #49. Next season we could have a line with Chuks at LT, Torrence at LG, Cole at Center, Daniels at RG and Jones at RT. With that line and a fully healthy Harris and Warren running the ball the running game would be very impressive.

You Guys. LoL. I got money that says right now....Moore will be our starting LT unless He is injured. You Guys ask too much of Him. Especially a young kid. Hell He's constantly gotten better, and I promise You ....if You go back, and watch ....some of those sacks are on KFP.

There is still an important part of the team with Moore, he could fill in at either tackle position. Injuries happen and you can't have too many good lineman. I envision a team built like the old Dolphins Superbowl teams. Great running game and a smart and efficient passing game and a stout ball hawking defense. I know people don't think you can win that way anymore but opposing QB's like Mahomes and Burrow can't hurt you while sitting on the sideline watching the Steelers grind out 7 or 8 minute drives that end in TD's.

Man's like 6'8'' 370, he isn't going to have light feet haha

In all seriousness though, he's an interesting prospect. HUGE wingspan, length, and is actually a pretty good athlete if you've watched him play. Has some of the normal issues a super tall T has, but is really good in the run game and went all last year (419 pass snaps) without allowing a QB hit or sack. He is a great hand fighter, but just needs to learn to keep his leverage and keep his feet moving. All teachable stuff.

I'd have no issues drafting him. He might be available in the 32 slot if we are still looking for a T at that spot.

Heavy feet, tell's me he will have trouble with
speed rushers that know how to pass rush.

He is my #1 tackle in the draft right now. Dominant. Hopefully we will find out about his athleticism at the combine.

Darnell Wright would be my pick as well. Contrary to popular belief, I do not think his pass pro sets and footwork are nearly as bad as others made it out to be. They still need work mind you but he is very much worthy of taking within the Top 40 picks. For that matter, I will not be shocked if he sneaks into opening Draft Night.

Jones being that big he will probably struggle against speedy edge rushers.

Do you like Wright more than Broderick Jones?

    Jones has the length.
On the other hand, Darnell Wright does not have that size and length and is heavy, too heavy, and will struggle against speed rushers, we know that, it showed at senior bowl. I think he is like 6-5 but 340 lbs. Guard body.
