I think these rankings right now will change a lot. I try to look at the player and how he will translate to the NFL game. I think coleman could be as good if not better than Benjamin. if coleman played in Fla.St. offense instead of Rutgers, or had manzel throwing to him for a couple of years, he may be at the top. same with Matthews. I hope cooler heads prevail and our scouts do their homework on these guys if that's the route we go.

Oh, definitely. It's just empty calories. Fun and little substance. Personally, the idea of a stud left tackle being in reach a few spots up made for an interesting discussion point.

As a side, he had our 3 biggest needs as OL, CB, S 2 weeks ago, but has us drafting a WR at #1.

It's improbable, but not impossible. If Robinson goes to the Combine and outperforms Matthews, there is Chance Matthews could slip a little. Don't get me wrong, I think Matthews is clearly the better football, but many teams are enamoured with athletic ability.

I completely agree. Matthews is a "too good to pass" player at his position IMO. Maybe he brings his dad to coach our Oline?

You're the GM. He's still there at 11. Do you trade up? If so, what do you give?

Not a fan of trading up for him, as good as he is.

I think this mock is waaaaay off target anyway, I don't see him being there at a 11 and I don't see anyway that the Texans don't take a QB with their 1st.

Nope. Our offense was "good enough" without him down the stretch that I feel we shouldn't give up a pick or two to select him. We need those extra picks to build up our young talent. If he was the only quality OT in this draft, then I would consider it more, but there would be similar options available to us at #15.

Pouncey? lol idk I have been against taking OL early in the draft for a while, but Mathews is definitely a guy you would have to consider making a move to get. I don't see this scenario playing out this way though

What disgusts me about this mock draft is that they have us taking Benjamin one pick in front of Marquis Lee.... I would be pretty upset to say the least haha I don't like Benjamin at 15 (I'd prefer the kid from Vandy), but who knows.

first matthews will be gone by the 7 pick at least , second we even don't have a pick in the 3rd to move up unless trade this year 2nd or next year 1st . or not ?

Jeremiah must have been reading my posts on this message board, I have been talking about Benjamin to the Steelers for the last 2 months. No I wouldn't trade up for Matthews the Steelers have too many needs to give up picks, they already are without a 3rd pick.

    Agreed.
If Matthews is there at 15 (highly unlikely) fine, if we have to move up... NO

If by chance Matthews was there at #11, I am probably in the minority, but I would move up. Not sure what the cost would be, especially since we don't have a 3rd round pick (I'm not giving up a 2nd). But Matthews would lock down his position for the next 10 years.

Its a tough thing to do, but wouldn't it be great if our OTs could take care of their own business and Heath could go out and run routes every play?

I think I'm with you. If you can get a top-5 caliber pick, super-stud LT that will likely anchor the position for years by trading up a few spots...you try. It's all just hypothetical 'what would you do with a million dollars?' talk of course. Obviously, he's not likely going to fall like that, and if he did, others would be jumping over each other to try to to trade and grab him.
