    In the same vein though he has been through the process before and knows with the not practicing he was way outside the bubble.

    In this case I do see his point . As a younger guy he probably wants to invest his time with a Team that might actually need him to play a role at WR soon . We have so much depth it would take a lot to even get up to the 53 and even then it would take a lot to get any playing time.

    Why not go to a Team with a weak starting WR sets or aging WR sets ? Is a smart move IMO , but he didn't really need to say what he said,just move on most would understand.

    I know for a fact hooks is going to the practice squad, but now that maxey has been cut there really isn't anyone left. McCullers is trash and was passed by Walton. Maybe they're picking another de off the trash heap.

    In the Pre season winners and losers thread I listed Big Dan as an unknown.

    He's been getting ripped on this board, alot of it justified. But as a pure run stuffing NT, he's the only one we have.

    Not saying he will make the 53 but it wouldn't surprise me. I really thought he took over late in the 4th against the Panthers. As well he should have playing against scrubs.

    But if you re watch it, he was taking on a few double teams and still making the tackle.

    I could be wrong but I think he makes the 53.

    Nope...he was told that he didnt get the management position but we will keep you at your supervisors position with an fortune 500 business and an opportunity to get promoted later on

    It has more to do with our deep WR corps. He would never get the position he thinks he can get with another team.

    I get it.he will catch on somewhere else.

    I thought Ayers was delusional when he said before the Carolina game that he thought the punt returner job was his to lose. As far as Maxey / McCullers goes, keeping 5 defensive linemen is probably a good decision. Maxey can be signed to the practice squad for depth purposes. McCullers may be the only run stuffer, Nix is the only FB, DJ is the only H-Back. All three skill sets are overvalued.

    With the news of Sutton being"significantly " hurt I really think Golson might make the team. Neither one has much experience but Golson has been around longer to learn the system...

    I read in Joe Gibbs' book about how emotionally difficult it was for him to cut players, especially veterans... just part of the business.

    Yeah I've heard a lot of coaches say that. I can understand it because you basically are crushing a dream. At least I'm sure it seems like it at the time.
