I was also thinking that he really had come around on Ben. Man I hope he's right too. But I mean he's Bill Cowher so he probably is.

I agree, Haley is the best thing that has happened to Ben's career. This season will prove this point...you heard it here!

As Speaker of the House of this club and 3rd in line I approve the app. One question though, I heard the VP changed his tune on the TH support bandwagon. If this is true, then am I now VP?

I've got some sources very close to the team and they don't think haleys contract will be renewed. They are close to a couple of coaches and nobody in the building can stand him. We better have a top five o or he could be gone.

Sound like things are starting to gel just going by some things Ben has said, the new offense is a group effort with input from players and position coaches which would mean Haley is softening his stance but I agree, he doesn't seem like a very likable guy. If he's smart, he'll understand it can't always be a my way or the highway approach, Tom Coughlin was hated when he first got to the Giants for the same reasons but the light bulb finally went on and he adjusted his approach, now the players love him. I hope Haley goes the same route.

You sound like those guys on tv with sources, if the Steelers won the Superbowl do you still think they would get rid of Haley.

Former Steelers coach Bill Cowher told NFL Network's "NFL Total Access"on Thursday that Haley's offense could be "one of the best things to happen" to Roethlisberger's career. Between Haley's emphasis on the quick-passing game and the Steelers' recent early round draft picks on the offensive line, Cowher believes Roethlisberger has added years to his career after taking too many hits in his first nine seasons.

This is EXACTLY (and BF will confirm this) what I've been saying since the day Haley was hired! Almost verbatim in fact. You think Cowher may have my home bugged.

I take offense to only being considered the VP of the Haley fan club. I was the FOUNDING MEMBER of the Haley fan club and was touting Haley before anyone else on this board, including you, BFT. So how did you get to be president? I want to be president and I want to be president now!

This is true, Jack is not only a member, he's the president :lolol:

What are you trying to do Blount? Stage a coup?

I'm not trying to steal anyone's thunder (Jack) but I did say from the beginning that Haley would be a good choice. I felt this way because of watching him in KC and from listening to one of his players. As a reminder, I am not, I repeat, am not a KC fan but when you have family playing and live 4 hours away it is hard to come up with an argument for not attending.

Let's hope this season goes well, Jim. Otherwise we both might be denying everything this time next year. :smiley1:

I will always believe it was Rooney that hired him and not Tomlin. In that case, I don't think Tomlin has the authority to fire him. A lot of people hate Haley the same way a lot of people hate Belichek. Winning makes people get over their hatred though. If we win, he'll be around as long as he wants to be. If we don't win, he may very well be gone in the next couple years

I agree that Haley was a Rooney hire. A lot of history between the Rooneys and the Haleys.

We won due to our defence most of the time. When we did win due to our offence, it was in the no huddle when BA wasn't calling the plays. Our offence was never something to brag about when BA was here. If were successful offensively, Haley will be here as long as he wants.

Well see I was just thinking that you were a Founding Father sorta like Ben Franklin but I actually organized everything in to an actual club and named it so I just figured I was the president. Then BF said he would be the VP but he's a flip flopper and left the party... or as most flip floppers would say.... "the party left him" but the official story was that he "wanted to spend more time with his family". So then 4everHateO'donnell said that he wanted to be the speaker of the house which would make him 3rd in line but then he went awol for a while and I haven't seen him. He was always really cool too but I'm thinking that he'll be back for the season with a new screen name. But I consider you an integral part of the club and an equal part as well. You really should be my Chief of Staff because that's where all the TRUE power lies. We have a growing membership which includes the Rooney's, Belichik, and Cowher so that's pretty elite company and as always we are taking new members. And I can't wait for the day that old Tommy Boy comes CRAWWWWLING BAAAACK!!! LOL!!!! We will welcome him with open arms.

LIES!!!! Dirty lying politician :lolol: I never asked to be in, you just appointed me VP and didn't want to ruin your fun! I'm in the Tomlin club or did you forget my last screen name already and Tomlin will be here much longer then Haley ever will so enjoy your short lived club while it lasts ;)
