Boswell is so good that I would have been surprised if would have missed that 60 yarder.

Agreed, but kickers are getting so good, and even in college, I have wondered if they will ever make the goal post more narrow to make it harder

That's possible remember some 130 lb kid kicked a 70 yarder against us in pre-season.

What happened in Golf. The greats of yesteryear played a ball that went 70-80 yards shorter. They played shorter courses. So they manufactured golf balls that go a lot further and then had to make courses longer. Now the numnuts are going to design the ball to go less far for Pros. They mess with me I'm hurting someone;)

Boswell and Waitman will be co MVP's this year! Boswell is the only constant in an erratic team on offense and defense.

Naturally, if you hit a short drive, it’s the balls fault ;) :smiley1:

JJ McCarthy was the NFC Offensive Player of the Week. He had 143 yards passing, placing him squarely at #29 in the league.

Best kicker in Steelers History; period.

Whoever is a close second... isn't a close second.

That said, Pittsburgh has a pretty good track record of good kickers as a whole.

Who the hell is voting on these. I liked JJ's 4th QTR play, but the first half of the game he played like Crap.

Also, with all the newspapers out of business who is still left to vote on these AP Awards?
Are they allowing these Internet Podcasters to start voting, that just want the clicks for their youtube channel?

When was the last time the Steelers were struggling to find a kicker? Even Kris Brown was decent for a few years. You might have to go back before Gary Anderson's career began in 1982.

Anderson probably would be next behind Boswell. He was one of the top two kickers in the league for a long time, just behind Morten Andersen.

This reminds me of when posters would talk about how the Steelers were so good at drafting receivers

    Times have changed

We are not listening to you today, you guaranteed a loss last week, and a low scoring game. LoL
