Just read another article about Dwyer and Redman.

Taking about the pulling himself out after 3 plays and Redman not staying healthy.

Now I realize Bettis was an anomaly, but didn't he have asthma as well and stayed in the game all the time?

    I don't get it.

Yeah. He also had the fire in the belly too though. As far as injuries go we've had our fair share in the past but this year had to be a once in a generation occurence. That is the only thing I can tell myself to maintain some semblance of sanity. BUT if this year we also have a bunch of injuries, ESPECIALLY to the guys that seem to be repeat offenders, I think it DEFINITELY will be time to ship out those who won't shape up.

Who cares how many times we saw it happen, the reality is that the coaches have commented on it; therefore, it's a problem. The coaches don't comment publicly on things that aren't an issue. Besides that, Dwyer is way too big, that's obvious just by looking at him. Compare him to many of the other RB's in the league and he looks fat.

Pretty important how many times he took himself out of a game when his conditioning is being questioned. I still ask, how many times did anyone witness him pulling himself out of games last season? Let's get a number then talk about if it was too much or just normal. I saw Ray Rice motion to come out in the Super Bowl, the most important game of his life and he takes himself out?

I think I was most disappointed when he tapped himself out when he was starting to get hot in a key game this year. He got us to the goaline and he didn't want to finish the drive off and score. I never saw the Bus take walk off the field in that situation.

Iv'e seen him numerous time tap out after 2 or 3 runs...I mean really?

ray rice got dinged up in the SB. that's why he missed some plays.

dwyer has done it more then 3 times. he's been injured and missed time, he's been out of shape arriving at camp, he taps out alot.
time to move on. the most talented player in the league does his team no good if he can't be on the field when they need him. i've said it before, i wouldn't offer dwyer a tender or redman at 1.3 mil..

we had the injury bug in 2011 also. this year wasen't just a fluke. we had it in 2010 too. that's 3 years running plus. it usually runs in cycles for alot of teams. 1976 we had a great team but injuries killed it. we have had others around here. usually a year at a time though, not this many in a row. something is wrong after this many in a row, no doubt.

Just because you or I only saw 3 times doesn't mean it didn't happen more. We only see what the TV cameras allow us to see, which is far from the entire picture. That's why I said it makes no difference how many times us fans see it happen, what matters is that the coaches seem to think it happens too much.

I think he probably does it too much, and as for the reason, it could be conditioning or injury related, who knows? I just think some people here blow it up a bit, kinda like Mendy's fumbling problem. Kinda a perception more than a fact.

Why would Haley fire him? It's hard to take some of you serious when you seem to have no clue how things with the team work.

Again why would Hayley have the power to fire the conditioning coach? It's silly to think anyone other than Tomlin or Rooney would do it.

While you have a point, you also have to remember that the coaches have commented in the past that he needs to stop pulling himself out of games as often. I'm sure that's based on fact rather than them perceiving something to be true when it isn't. They see exactly how often he pulls himself and after how many plays, how long the play was, how physical the hits were, etc. They have much more info than we have and they have said he pulls himself too often. Now has that been corrected? I don't know, but from where I sit, he's too damned big. To me he looks fat compared to all the other starting RB's in the league.

I remember at least 5 times it was mentioned by the commentators during the games. I'm not going off my perception, as other people have said, the coaches have said that. Just way too many mainstream articles popping up about it.

I think injuries is not isolated to this team. If you look around the league it's pandemic. Buffalo lost alot of players in the 2012 season as well as other teams .. I just think it comes down to the union contacts and the nfl..

This game is getting effed up quickly and people are getting seriously injured in a huge way.. Look at our receivers alone last year.

OMG. Cotch, Wallace, Sanders, Brown, Miller .. The only one healthy was Plex and its only because he never saw the field ( exagerating but yeah you know what I mean)

Actually in retrospect I am not sure Wallace was even injured but he should have been because he played like a d ick head all year long

If the Rooney's are not looking at their Strength and
conditioning coach then something is wrong. Look at our OL
and look how they get manhandled. WEAK/Fat/SLOW slobs is what they are.
they all should be able to bench press 250/35 times. Look at our other
players often injured. OUT OF SHAPE, the message is not getting to the players,
you ask well who needs to get these players motivated to come into camp
in shape. Well the Strength and conditioning coach first, should have these guys
on a off season program. Then the Coach CLICHE should be riding these guys hard
to improve and get better, stronger, faster.

he may not do the actual firing, but i think what freak means is it may come up from the OC in the coaches meetings with the front office and head coach. thats how it works. the coaches and owners meet to see where we need help and where we are doing fine. it's not just MT or AR having to notice this glenn. the coaches and especially the co O's and position coaches relay this type of thing to the higher ups. that IS how it works. sure haley isn't going to fire another coordinator.
