Christine Michael= Blight?

Did anyone else listen to the steelersdepot podcast with Dave Thomas? One of the hosts brought up Michael and his comments were something along the lines of

the only jersey he'll be wearing on gameday is pinstripes
He's the biggest blight in the draft.
I can't believe they even brought him in
He'll probably rob someones' pockebook

If we truly are having locker room problems this guy doesn't sound like a good fit.

If he steals somebodies pocketbook, I think it's to steal their identity so he can have a real mans first name.

 

I listened to that podcast.... I don't doubt that guys ability to assess talent, but I didn't like the way he called some of those guys dirty criminals. He said the same thing about Safety Duke Williams I think? I think he kind of stepped out of line there.

I have not seen anyone else calling Christine Michaels a criminal. He overslept for some combine meetings, and he had a falling out with some of the coaching staff while in college.

Someone else who had a falling out with coaching staff while in college (and again in the pros) was Rashard Mendehall. So that could be a red flag? Looking some of his highlights though, his running style would fit here in Pittsburgh better than Rashard Mendenhall's IMHO.

That guy also said Jarvis Jones and Mingo goof off during practices and just decide to go all out on game day. He thinks Tavon Austin is the second coming of John Stallworth apparently, and Steadman Bailey will be a star too. He also like Brandon Williams from Southern Missouri as a NT, but I have my doubts.

 

I know what you're saying, but I think he was just calling a spade a spade. I just did a little googling on him. He was first hired by NFL teams at theage of 14. WTF?

i don't care much for dave thomas or dave bryant sometimes. they throw stuff out there all the time that's suspect and won't get off it either. the kid is a talent. he wouldn't be the first kid that needed some guidance early in life. i'd have no problem if they picked him. this kid COULD be ray rice like if they get his head on straight. there may not be a more stable atmosphere then on the steelers.

 

Neither of the podcast hosts said anything about him other than asking what that consultant thought of him. Once asked Dave Te Thomas unloaded on him.

 

It is actually pronounced "Christian", but where's the fun in that? It is the offseason, after all.

If he ends up wearing Black & Gold, then I'll begin the long process of training my mind to not call him "Christine". That's only if he pans out!
