I figured of the 3 FA RBs he'd be the least likely to be back...especially since they initially cut him and didn't bring him back until an injury happened.

I think they will sign at least 1 vet RB though (maybe bring back Felix...who knows)...and I wouldnt be shocked if they draft one...and potentially have a change of pace guy like LSH.

    Good luck Dwyer

He came in and saved Ben on some crucial blocks and finally showed some real toughness when his number was called.

He played well backing up Bell, but we also lost every game while Bell was out. I just was curious about why steel felt he bailed us out.

I think because all the other ones failed to produce when he was the one cut, but came back and out performed them.

Pittsburgh West at it again - Dwyer signs w/ Cards

Geez, Why would they even participate in the draft? Just take all of the Steelers when we are done with them.

    Dwyer signs with Cardinals.

I'm sure they will sign Big Ben when he is 45 just to add another Steeler to their roster.

Sucks to lose dwyer. I was always a big fan. Never thought he was given a proper opportunity here. He was much more talented than a 6th round pick but that's exactly how we treated him.

On the fence about losing him. Nothing special but I thought he was serviceable. He definitely had his chances to shine, and I thought he showed some bright spots, but never capitalized on his chances imo.

I'd love Hyde also mac but I think he's on clevelands radar too, and I think they'd be willing to reach to get him....unless they end up signing Tate, which they appear to be the front runners to do so.

I really liked Dwyer. I thought he was a great third down back.

He had 2 career fumbles on 257 touches. I think to label him as a fumbler is a bit off. Plus his ability to pick up tough yardage, his receiving abilities, and above all his blocking abilities made him a pretty good back. I think he is going to a good spot in Arizona.

I just hope we don't bring Felix or Howling back... they aren't going to help us.

He was given a chance to start, don't know how much more a player can ask for. I like Dwyer and supported him big time the year he was starting but losing him wont hurt us at all. He's not a good fit for the direction they want to take the team, if they had to rely on him if Bell got hurt, the running game would suffer a lot. Good short yardage back, that's it.

I completely disagree with the loss of Dwyer not hurting us. He was solid off the bench as a backup to Bell and a quality 3rd down back. Before losing him we needed a good change of pace back, now we need both a good change of pace back and a good backup to Bell. This one stings.
