Strangely Andrew Fillipponi is reporting Canada will be gone. Why that is coming out with two games to go is weird. I think we all knew this weeks ago but weirdly insiders must be leaking the news but why now? Either way its good news. I saw one person saying it would be great to get Jim Caldwell. I have no opinion but we need to open the bank and get a well known quantity in. GM and owner should make the final decision. Tomlin blows at picking coaches and we need top quality assistants on both sides of the ball. I wish it was a full sweep but it won't be. So Aviator will be here to see this through. I have to deal with two useless Aviators fools for a few more years. Ha.

A lot of media sources posting it the past 24hrs. I'll believe it when I see it. Fittapaldo is the first to drop it.

Very questionable timing on these rumors. I mean we really need to win these next two game and hope that some other teams can help us out. So why start throwing someone under the bus when we still have a chance at the post season?

    Click bait our lives away.

Maybe if he knows he's gone he will call goofier stuff now.

    Just dumb all around.

Hopefully it's just garbage tabloid fodder for now and he can ignore it.

    It's click bait.
They are hoping that if they plant the seed it will happen.
Nobody is confirming this in the organization.

But, at the same time... I think he is gone, but I also think it is obvious.

    As for his replacement...
I don't discount Tomlin, he knows he's got a promising QB, good WR's, a couple RB's and an OK Oline..
He's going to want someone that bring this thing to life.

I think they just aren't going to renew his contract, but isn't that the same as being let go...

Good point if his contract is up. I thought someone said his contract runs through 2023 season though. Admittedly being lazy about googling that.

i did hear leftwich's name come up but they said that was strange because of him being talked about as a head coach as well. (not here but elsewhere). i also heard the name duce staley being kicked around. oh dear God i hope not. not enough experience for me. i want a proven guy. maybe they do hire from within. mike sullivan?

I believe Andrew like most of us want that college play caller shown the door after the last tick of the clowns game.

    Byron already is an OC

No reason for him to make a lateral move if for Tampa to allow it

Around mid season I noticed we hit a lot of quotes from Sullivan and none from Canada for what that is worth

I doubt Leftwich would go to another OC spot, unless Tampa fired the coaching staff.
He's probably going to get a job as HC.

Sullivan might be the favorite since we tend to promote from within, but that doesn't thrill me.
I'd be looking hard at SF, LA, Buffalo and Philly OC staffs.. (I have not done my homework on hot prospects off those though)

#1 on my list is a QB guy. Hackett has some value there, but I'd be sifting through prospects before I made that decision.
But I'd most definitely want a QB friendly OC that can develop Pickett.

tampa offense not functioning well even with tom tom. no run game either. he wouldn't be my first choice.

sullivan i could get on board with. has a working relationship with KP so far.

He seemed to have inside track to be Jaqs HC because he played there, but if he said he would not go there unless the GM was fired and took himself out of HC consideration because of this, wow, you don't see that often. I think Sean Payton turned down the Raiders offer before going with Saints.
