Either their freeing up for Bell or another linebacker.

 

They don’t need to free up anything for Bell. His cap hit is already accounted for.

It is.. They can't pay him more than the tag.. the extra cap space is not for him

 

I just don't see Bowman after bringing in Bostic and extending VW....and Simon is rumored to be hurt

 

I could see them bringing in Bowman and cutting Bostic. He was horrible in the preseason. The fact that he played into the 4th quarter of the final preseason game tells me they aren't exactly thrilled with what they see.

 

It's possible I don't know the cap implications though and I don't think they're quite ready to admit a mistake if they think it ,so soon. I still think Bostic is gonna be ok . I would think they looked into Bowman already and chose Bostic unless Bowmans demands have come down. Like I said I don't know all the financials....

Ben already has a $23,000,000 cap hit this year. If they are extending him I would expect them to free up more money under the cap, not less. They don't need to restructure anyone for him unless they do some really weird contract.
