What are you talking about. Any time Red is in coverage the QB looks directly his way. Thomas is all over the place. He's a sideline to sideline ILB and dont even try to say so is Red. Thomas also can line up at 2 positions and you know how Tomlin loves that

QB - probably right. Id like them to keep Dobbs, but I can see it this way
    RB - yep
WR - they just traded for Switz. He either makes the team as #6 or DHB out
    TE - yep
    OL - yep

    DL - yep
OLB - Huegenin our Adams in
ILB - NO FREAKING WAY THEY KEEP RED OVER THOMAS. That would be asinine. Thomas is a stone cold lock. Matakevich is half the football player in his dreams. He may stick as ILB #5, but he’d be an easy cut in my book.
CB - sure. I’d keep Allen over Sensabaugh
S - what a dumpster fire this is. Marcus Allen is a sure fire PS. He has 0 chance at the roster IMO. Berhe could stick for just ST. Dangerfield likely on the outside looking in. We probably keep 4 or 5 safeties and this lets us keep either 6 WR or 6 CB. Only one of your final 3 on this list need to make the team.

If the choice is keep one between Thomas and Matakevich, there isn’t a person outside of the Matakevich family that doesn’t see this is an easy choice.

When someone tweeted tonight that Thomas just made the roster tonight (with his strip fumble and return) Kaboly responded that he made the roster three weeks ago.

Landry Jones is done. His ceiling has been maxed out and he is what he is. At 29 years of age, I doubt he obtains any form of significant improvement.

Joshua Dobbs can be oh so much more. This is also accounting for the fact that you lose Jones next season anyways. Joshua has colossally greater upside than Jones and can be a better back up the same.

Ultimately though, it comes down to age and potential. Dobbs has both along with a much improved year 2.

    So long Landry Jones.

Kaboly is an idiot..... While I think my roster may need some adjusting now it won't be at Red's expense.

Don't forget the Steelers get to keep 11 on the PS this year because of the special exemption. The TE Williamson count as the exemption. Haven't watch the game yet but I notice dirty red & Brian Allen did well on the stat sheet. I don't see Dangerfield making 53, hoping Thomas can take dirty red's spot, hope they don't give up on Brian Allen yet, hope K. Adams can replace N. Berhe....

You guys thinking Red is out keep forgetting that he beat out Fort 2 years in a row for the back-up ILB spot.

Also, looking at rosters you have Switzer at the expense of DHB amd they just lost Golden tonight.

Exactly who are you rolling out there on ST and is already ready to call signals at the ILB spot?

Seems about right. I think we could drop Matakevich for another safety if we really wanted to go the extra safety route. Lots of sub packages and only running 4 S might be thin. Maybe Dangerfield in and Dirty Red cut?

Matak and Sutton are not good. I argued with several people about Sutton when we drafted him. I hope we find better.

If you want to believe an u drafted FA Thomas made the 53 Roster at the 1st preseason game then you're discounting the whole process... And while kaboly didn't say it was at he expense of Red virtually everyone on this board is saying that. I should have said that to be perfectly clear and not left anything up for assumption but I was trying not to write a book since I use my phone a lot and I hate typing on it........ I should have known better and been more clear .
