"That's why Steelers D has looked good"

So tell me why the Giants scored more than 7 (not counting garbage td lol)
    vs

    Cowboys
    Saints
    Redskins
    Vikings
    Packers
    Ravens
    Rams
    Eagles
    Bengals
    Bears
    Browns

Look our D ain't elite, aikman pissed me off lol. Couple more pieces and it will be elite

Actually in comparison to defenses like the Vikings and Seahawks, Pittsburgh leads the league in games where opponents are held to 16 or fewer at seven.

#1 red zone defense, if our D continues to improve people should finally stop saying we are an offensive juggernaut because we aren't

You lost me. What does our defense have to do with what people say about our offense?

My title thread was about aikman saying browns colts Giants struggle on offense which is why our D is looking good.

I'm saying that we are shifting from an "explosive offense" team(to general public) to a run heavy/physical on defense team these past 3 weeks.

Our bombing offense was no longer working without Bryant or healthy Coates.

I like the direction we are heading that's all. Cold weather football...

The Giants have a decent offense but sometimes Eli reverts to throwing head-scratching INT's like the across-the-body one he threw to Davis.

Exactly, he will throw it to the opposing team quite a bit. Attack and watch the wins grow.

He is only partially correct relative to the effectiveness of the offenses we have faced. The defense is applying alot more pressure then they had previously. The OL for the Giants is very good and no push over and the Dline handled them well and applied enough pressure to cause Eli to make mistakes. This defense is going to be very good. The speed at which they are playing is making a huge difference,

my question is... did we apply this same pressure to Dallas? maybe we ARE better without Cam but only because they are playing harder for him? I dont know lol

I think the defense seems to be more comfortable with what it can and can't do now. Pressure seems to be better. Secondary is communicating better. Burns and Davis are getting better. Chickillo is getting better. Maybe - I don't know, as haven't looked closely enough - they aren't relying on the d-line to create the pressure as much, and that's leading to better defensive performances.

Just an update, Steelers are 7th in ppg, 6th in rushing yards against, 19th in passing yards against, 14th in sacks, #1 red zone defense, and #1 in 16 points or fewer games with 7.

Take a grain of salt.... we had 4 losses to potential playoff teams (Miami, NE, Balt, Dallas) before getting to the meat of our schedule in the likes of Cleveland and Indy (without Luck). I'd say Giants game was a good win, but we all know Eli is extremely inconsistent. Let's see if we can build on the last 3 weeks with our remaining soft schedule.
