Stunning that the Titans threw all that cash at him and didn't just give him a one-year prove it deal.

I'm not sure when he'll be able to play. I don't know the rehab time for his injury. I thought it was almost a year. But I could be wrong

Did I ever suggest otherwise? No, I did not, but some of the responses on this thread are comical.

I think that might be preferable from a Steelers Nation standpoint. Not that we wish ill will on Bud but our enemy 's problems are our gains.

I would have been surprised if he did start the season on time given the timing of that injury.

It’s why I thought we might be able to sign him to another contract, the very least a 1 year deal.

Well he got injured in November, so it's not surprising he isn't ready to start the season.

How will Dupree finish is the question. I think he'll be longing for Pittsburgh...

He won't. He was never going to get the big payday from the Steelers.

Again, an ACL Injury involves more than just recovering from the ligament and muscle damage associated with it. The re-acclimation aspect must also be taken into account; lateral and explosive moments will be hindered even as the recovery process nears its conclusion. As a result, said knee must be refined and retuned towards operating back to 100% as while the recovery is complete from a medical standpoint, the precise, fine tuned moments from before need retuned due to the lack of conditioning as a result of the injury.

In short?! Do not expect Dupree to operate like he was before the Ravens game until late 2021 at the earliest.

He has over 80 million reasons to not be longing for Pittsburgh.

Sure but some of that money is dependent on things he can't control. Henry goes down for the season it's bad, Tannehill regressed it's bad.. losing season for Vrabel and he is fired it's bad and that threatens the money.

    Not really.

Some other team would hAve thrown him a pile of cash, albeit less, and he would have taken that.
