I am glad he finally got the call. And I am happy that he looked large and in charge. It would have sucked to wait so long and then have him get knocked around!
Next year’s starting rotation will be interesting. They have more starters than spots at this point. Skenes, Oviedo is back and looks good, Jones should be back, Keller if he is not traded for bats at the winter meetings, Chandler, Burrow, maybe Barco. Guys will be afraid to allow two runs, because the next guy up will be gunning to take their spot. A lot will be settled in spring training. And the way things unfortunately go, at least one of the guys I named will get an arm injury. You never can have enough pitching as they say. But a lot of teams would love to have the Pirates’ arms.
If they only had even an average offense, this team would look a whole lot better.
