What happened to the 8 or 10 games that was being reported?

With that amount of time off, he should get his life together. Get a life coach and go from there.

I don't even know what to say at this point. So disappointed. I guess he has a serious problem and needs help. Still haven't seen his potential and he could have had a breakout season next year. All of it gone in a puff of smoke. Now the DHB signing makes so much more sense.

What's with the 'minimum' one year suspension? I realize there's a very good chance he won't be with the Steelers next season, so it may not matter to us, but isn't the suspension 1 year after a previous 4 game ban?

I talked to a buddy who covered clemson for 6 years. He told me he has issues with self esteem and is very immature. The steelers knew this as did every team.
Honestly at Clemson coaches and alot of fans thought he was better than watkins.

He will take this and get straightened out.

Now the big question is if we'll get a veteran or a rookie on the team to take his place ? I know Heyward might step up, but who'll be the #4 ? I don't even know where to start other than smh.

I think the next step for another failed rug test would've been the 10-game suspension. But since he didn't even show up for the drug test(s) I think that's where the automatic season suspension comes into play.

I thought Gordon got 10 games the other year, so you're probably right. Gordon probably went but he just failed them.

One of the best concerts I've ever been to was Phish and I was 100% sober. Had to skip the encore to go directly to work after the show.

I wouldn't give 10 cents for a Bryant Jersey. Although, I did pay $5 for an authentic Roethlisberger one after his accusations were in full force.

Hopefully, he turns it around. Addiction to anything is not a good thing.
He has the talent for sure. We really aren't out a ton if he never plays another down for a 4th round pick.
He already has surpassed his 4th round pick status with what he has produced.
But you can see the talent is there, he has to get his head straight, maybe a year away from football will help him.
Hopefully, when he comes back it's in a Steelers uniform.

Either Coates or DHB will be the #4 WR.

I feel sorry for the guy. If he really has been battling depression, plus a substance abuse problem, and now he knows he has really screwed the pooch; he has a long recovery ahead. With his physical gifts, a turnaround would make a great story. I am pulling for him.

I feel for the kid... Not like some though. If he had a problem, it didn't start year 1 with us! Where was his family or college coaches etc...

He didn't become a head case or addict over night after the draft. It's hard for these kids to get it, especially when they're coddled and told they're special then left out to the wolves by folks who only see dollar signs and yes, programs with kids that advance do get accolades to.

I've said it before, it's society, it's parents, it's big money schools etc...

This crap makes it harder to give a rip about sports in any fashion honestly.

I really loathe the state of society, the sports world in general and the uneducated Guinea pigs that get a free ride in all of it.

Spare me the pot ifs and buts, right or wrong there is a standard!

We have to adhere to it in the real world. And in the real world, us dummies. Finance this horse****.

Don't know exactly what it says about us, but were a part of the problem.

Hope he gets his head right, but either here or there matters none.

Lastly, I hope the rehab is sincere THIS TIME...
