And Mike Tomlin was a former DB coach and Defensive Coordinator. Makes you wonder? In mike Tomlin's career with the Steelers
have you saw any player development in our Db's that have been taken in his drafts?

While his coaching career has slanted defensively, he was a WR during his playing career.

Maybe that's what he truly knows better.

Sorry to burst your bubble SCNB the WR position is all KC, he knows how to evaluate this position. DB's should be Mike Tomlin's forte
DB coach DC and we still can't develop talent in the secondary???????

While yes DBs should be Tomlin's forte, he gets no credit for the WR success?

AB a 6th round pick. Martavis a 4th. Eli Rogers undrafted.

Why does he get no credit for the WRs but gets the blame for the DBs?

Fair point SCNB, the articles I have read on KC indicate the WR position is his baby.

You very well could be right but I know Tomlin works pretty close to Colbert in the draft. Being an ex WR I would think Tomlin has some insight on these WR prospects.

You can't credit development to Colbert. He may well identify college receivers, but he's not doing any coaching.

Seems plausible. He doesn't seem to know Jack about DBs.

KC/MT/CL ....none of them know anything about evaluating or deceloping db's. Its been a carousel nightmare since he took over. He inherited a good secondary and still couldnt build off of that. When we first hired him....my first reaction was that we now will have a great secondary. But No, it definitely has worsened. We have had several opportunities to hire Rod Woodson, but never inked the deal.
