Jones would be right now a pro bowl caliber LT if Munchak would be his O-line coach

They really can't afford for Jones to be a bust; he would be another first round pick that didn't have his 5th year option picked up.

Just another symptom of drafting raw, developmental players in the first round without having the coaching to deal with it.

Actually it is a lazy argument. Y’all ignore the successes and focus solely on the “failure” despite the fact jones was considered a project. Sorry this isn’t madden and things don’t happen with the press of a button

Yes, tired of the toolsy/athletic types that are far from polished.
They can win based on speed or size or strength in college, then get to the NFL and we find out how lacking they are in technique and desire.
I'd rather draft the slightly slower or shorter or lighter player that gets top results at a YOUNG age in college. i.e. not a breakout at 23 years old against 18 year olds.

Let's hope the days of falling for workout warriors or size/speed freaks that aren't all that good at football are over.
I had hopes for Jones, but I recall him not being hyped for technique, more hyped about NFL size and upside (ugh, may be the harshest word to hear on draft day...upside).

this is correct - would be a disaster - it is a disaster in the making, right now.

hopeful for a turnaround, and quick. showed some promise his rookie campaign, for a number of games.

    we will see

BroJo's issues could be fixed by moving him inside to LG once Isaac is gone.

Move Fautanu to LT and Cook to RT.

    Idk, might work?

The point is....if a 4th round LT is getting better every year, and the 1st round is not under the same coaching, and nobody else is having these problems, maybe it's the player.

And when they have no answers they are flippant, and say the only thing they can say. No playoff wins. LoL.
Hey you wreaked your car.....no playoff wins. Hey we scored 4 tds last week , no playoff wins. Sheep. You can't even discuss a simple topic without confusion, and the grasping of .....no playoff wins.

Why do you do this?? Why do you always state thing you have no proof of as facts??
You have no proof at all they he would be , just like I have no proof that he wouldn't be, but I'm not saying for a fact he wouldn't be. You know why, because until you actually see it , nobody knows.

The answer to that is simple. It’s low hanging fruit. The masses will agree despite the fact it holds no value

i think jones is very flawed and during the season there is just not time to do this.

his feet are like he is always trying to keep in step and are a bit choppy and then while the feet may look a little better on one play the hands are going all over the place. then if he does well with the hands the feet are not in step. doesn't seem to be able to multi task with hands and feet at the same time.

no it is not easy. it is also not the fault of the coach. you can see it happening if you watch what 6 posted in that video. i've seen it going on for several years now. there isn't a natural flow to it.

then the zone blocking is it's own thinking and dancing. i'm not sure the brains are there to learn it all and make it flow. coordination to make that happen through the brain doesn't seem to be working on so many things to think of at once. it has to become habit so to speak. they can't waste 4 more years hoping he gets it without another plan. he may or may not. it does screw up the rest of the offense as well. just what i am seeing.

I hope Jones's issues are easy to fix. He is my biggest worry about Sunday.

it should be. But thats between Jones and Meyer.

the LT position has been a sore spot since AV left, that the coaches and management haven't been able to fix.

What you are describing sounds like a player playing a position that doesn't come natural for him. And if true, that is a large smudge on Kahn's first draft. As I said elsewhere, the shine on Kahn's first draft class is clouding up a bit.

ok Frazier looks like a success. But our o line still played like **** last weekend And has been pretty much that way since Ben retired. Despite trying to backfill these positions with high end draft picks and proven veterans (like Seaumalo). So most of these guys cant get it? Its not the coaches problem? Maybe our scouting department is to blame then. But Aren't Meyer and Tomlin part of that decision making process?
