I know my 2 sentence long post was probably tough to get through but I did say that they would be drafting DB's. :smiley1:

And never said they were much improved, just improved over what they had at the end of the season and that almost got them to the AFC CG, if not for a fumble.

Also, Tomlin did scout a kicker, even iced him :lolol:

They meet with tons of prospects, its due diligence.

It would be great if people that make statements like the one above actually provided a source as opposed to expecting us to rely on their interpretations.

I hear ya, but Tomlin has focused most of his meetings on CB's. But hey, we are a week away and the key to the whole thing to me is what are the Raiders going to do with their pick. I'm hearing that the Raiders are loving them some WJIII. If the Raiders don't take a CB, we have a great shot at getting a good CB.

Yeah, meeting a ton of DB's, definitely their focus. Defense over all really.

Yeah but they did win

And you cant say for certain that they don't win without that PF, they only needed a FG and had about 40 seconds left.

Fact is, they nearly made the AFC CG.

We're not as incomplete team as some fans would like to believe.

And then there were the Ravens games; Making Ryan Mallet look like Tom Brady. We can "if" all day and night.

Yeah, we can but it has nothing to do with the fact they were a fumble away from the AFC CG.

Agree and disagree. I'm thinking we are 2 DBs from being a preseason Super Bowl favorite. I'm also thinking not having those 2 last year is why we were where we were,

If that gets you thru the night then that's fine but going forward, we won't be winning anything with this current secondary.

The good thing about you going so hard at this subject is that when you're wrong there is going to be plenty of evidence to point to when your particular dish of crow comes around.

Just pointing out the flaws in your argument about not getting to a AFC CG, wasn't the secondary that stopped them. If you and others can't handle the truth, not my problem.

That secondary was also good enough to get past the eventual SB champions earlier in the season too.

And as I keep pointing out to you but you keep ignoring, the secondary is a work in progress, nobody said they were done addressing it.

All I said was going forward, the past is the past. We won't be winning any Super Bowl with this secondary.

Oh no ask around I'm happy to admit when I'm wrong especially after a well reasoned debate. I do try to avoid making statements like when they don't win anything. I usually don't rub it into people when that happens since we are all Steelers fans but when you go to far I will tease about it to remind the person how ridiculous they were being. You should do a board search for Steelersrule6 and James Harrison threads. He went over the top about him being done, that his numbers in Cincinnati proved it, media outlets aND the Rooney's agreed with him. So we tease him about it. Board member Jackattacks had a big plate of crow over the same topic and was happy to eat it. I'm a flawed person and am more than happy to admit I'm wrong.

Not at all. I think we've got bigger issues than just CB, but if the right player is there so be it.

I doubt anyone here is going to complain if they land one of the top cornerbacks in the 1st.

Come on Chief that is like flashing the Batsignal for Real Steel. The draft will mean nothing if we take a CB in the first.

    well, that's it i guess.
this team is loaded and the front runner to win the super bowl in some eyes.
i guess only injuries and COACHING will keep up from #7

We were a wildcard team because of how poorly our secondary was against Ryan Mallet and howdy dooty (a.j. Green). If we could have won a couple more, we could have avoided that idiot burfict. So, that secondary did cost us. Big picture my friend. Bigger picture.

Actually if we go by your method the season is over right now because the Raiders are far to dominant to be beat. Heck their numbers on paper put the rest of the league to shame and there is no point in even making the schedule.

.....Then again instead of being chicken little you could take a wait and see approach to, I don't know wait and see who is drafted by who, who cuts who, which teams suffer key injuries, suspensions, losses. What teams look like before and after camp. Maybe wait until the final 53 looks like and maybe a real game is played..... nope better to accuse everyone of being kool-aid drinking, team colored glasses wearing homers
