Bradshaw of the Giants says "We feel like we can spark New York," Bradshaw said via the Newark Star-Ledger. "Just what we do, what we've done. I think we can also help everybody in New York and New Jersey that's going through this." I'm praying for new york and new jersey, but as far as football goes, I'd be very happy to watch the giants lose, and lose big on sunday! Than after the win, the steelers can make a nice donation to the red cross to help fund the clean up and the recovery for everyone affected by hurricane sandy. And I am surprised that the game was not postponed. And read some of the peoples comments at the bottom of the article.

I appreciate what he is trying to do but millions of people still do not have power to watch the game let alone a HOUSE to live in! Im not sure that getting to a Giants game is at the top of the priority list at the moment. I could be wrong though....

If the G-men getting a win is what would spark NY, then they have some f*@cked up priorities. As long as Mike Doomberg is the Mayor of NYC, the people of NYC have lost. Thank God for Christie in NJ because he is kicking ass and making things happen.

She ;) And she's a 100% correct. I'm from here, it's bad, peoples lives are in shambles, they aren't thinking about football.

They are just trying to find anything they can to help pump the team up.

    Win one for the Gipper.

NY is so tense right now that I'd be afraid to spark anything. Television will tell you otherwise but that place is volatile as can be. They are tough and have gotten through some history but when you live a comfortable life and then within 24 hrs it all changes I think the last thing most care about is a football game or marathon which the idiot in charge finally cancelled.

The Knicks beat the Heat down tonight, so it will be ok for us to disappoint the the Giants Sun

This is what I was gonna say. Athletes saying this kinda stuff is the equivalent of rock stars saying it. I mean I know they have the best of intentions but I just want them to realize you can't just play a song or win a game and everything be ok. I think most of the Giants fans can't even get to the game and besides that they are out of power so how could they even KNOW what the giants were doing? But I'm sure some rock star will show up and sing Bridge over troubled waters and magically that mother who lost her children or that husband who lost his wife will just magically feel better. It's fine if they wanna dedicate a win to those poor people there that are suffering so badly but when the sports world starts taking credit for crap like that it kinda gets on my nerves and becomes sorta like grand standing. The reality is the only thing that's gonna get things back to normal in New York is just the regular folks out there on the streets digging their way out. From what I understand of the news coverage FEMA is just as bad during this storm as they were during Katrina. Maybe some of you New Yorkers could speak to that.

Bradshaw needs to worry about his 8 kids by 7 different women (at last count a couple of years ago) before he worries about providing a spark to NY. I think he's trying to catch Antonio Cromartie-Smith in the most number of kids by the most number of women category. Bradshaw went to HS in my county and Heath went to HS in the next county over so those are the two biggest current NFL stars from my area. But from a character and integrity standpoint they couldn't be further apart.
