I know it is getting beat up by the critics, because it doesn't have enough profanity to be considered an "Authentic" representation, for half the critics, and it is way to religious for the other half of the critics, but I enjoyed the living daylights out of this movie.

I may not remember the Superman George Foreman, but I will never forget the Michelin-Man George Foreman.

It was funny, after the Ali fight, I hit pause, and was shocked to see that I was only 1 hour into a 2-hour movie. I then realized that I was going to see my generations "Big George Foreman" on the screen. I get to see a lot of my father's George Foreman in ESPN video clips and movies, but I never really have ever seen the Big George I remember from my past.

To me this was a great way to kill a Sunday night.

Cool, I absolutely want to watch that. Ali, Frazier, Foreman and Tyson only boxers I ever followed.

Of course I'll watch it with a hamburger cook on a George Foreman grill;)

S.T.D will enjoy this post but I have a hunch he already knows about it. I'm convinced he has 35 hour days while us mortals have 24. Damn guy knows to much about to much;)

The only crazy thing I was curious to learn about was the GF Grill and they really skipped that part. :)

In a Hulk Hogan biography I read, he claimed the same company offered him his choice of products, the grill or a blender. He said he chose the blender and the rest is history.

I'll never forget the absolute shock I felt when the radio announcer cut in and said that Ali had knocked out George in the 8th round. I was a senior in HS and all of the guys had a pool predicting what round Foreman would knock Ali out in. No one even conceived of the thought that Ali would win.

Rumble in the Jungle. I remember My family arguing about it. Half wanted Him to win, and the other didn't. I also remember them discussing the ropes, and how loose they were compared to other matches. Boxing was huge on one side of My family. It's how I got started. It was My first love for a sport.

Me too. My dad, grandfather were all boxers. My great uncle turned pro back in the 1920's and was a world ranked middleweight. So naturally I became an amateur boxer but also had a good steady job out of HS and just didn't have the time anymore to give my full devotion to the sport. So I never turned pro but did get into coaching years later and even now I get a call now and then from someone who wants to learn to box and I'll train them in the art of the "sweet science".

    Winner
Awesome. I Love hearing some still Love it. It breaks My heart that it has slipped so low in most people's eyes. I also only fought amateur. I just wasn't good enough IMO to dedicate my whole life at turning pro.
