As will the other 31 teams.

I guess they can't poll it all together and give some to the Pirates.;)

Spend it wisely. I see some supports the NFL retirement fund.

No idea how it works or how much they get but if it's a pension for life with benefits that is one hell of an early retirement.

The NFL saw we needed to sign a QB. Here’s $30M, go sign one.

Not exactly. Even with the estimates the Steelers were at least 6 OTC. Not they're just 5 OTC. It's literally not that simple.

The numbers are good, but Players and agents are going to ask for more as well, so the big ticket guys will get more jing..at least at the start because some owners just can't help themselves on a shiny new toy. lol In all seriousness I do not know where the breakdowns come from, but seems like gambling may have a bit to do with this, look for it to grow even more if more states approve the process.

I'll correct myself, the Steelers currently have 7m in cap space. But point remains they don't currently have the cap space to just sign a QB. Still gotta make cuts n trades.

I understood your point overall. I’m sorry you missed the tongue-in-cheek of my $30M QB post.

I don’t expect a splash free agent. The roster doesn’t have much depth and they need to sign starters in the secondary and at linebacker.

They have plenty of ways to clear cap room but they are not one big signing away from being a championship roster unless it’s a QB

I agree. There are too many pieces needed to round the team out. A top-line QB is always a precious commodity, but it seems they'd either doling out for a solid, older option (Cousins), or a dynamic, but unproven one (Fields).

I think we see them sign a mid-tier option: Brisset, Minshew, e.g.

cutting allen robinson gets them 10 million more. They are 11 mil. under right now add Robinson's 10 mil. We are 21 mil under without another move. We will make more moves.

Yes they will probably rework Cam and TJ, maybe Minkah and others too.

Pat Peterson will probably be cut I don’t think either side envisaged him playing for $7m in 2024

they had to pay dan moore a PPE rate, which lowered the amount under right now. we are around 9 million under right now with the top 51 players.

Dimwits repeatedly whine about the Steelers being in cap hell

Can anyone tell me when we ever did not sign a player because we did not have the cap space
